  1. fekn embarrassing Worse than that !! Worst performance I can remember from a Shipyard team........had chances [4 in 1st half] but couldn't convert......the quickest one of our players moved was in the pub after Scotland scored their 2nd goal........Swifts are a young team & grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck & kept it going to the end & they are to be congratulated for that, but unfortunately they didn't have to work too hard for some of their goals.....I am pig sick maybe playing in a stronger league would help. surely you need to dominate your current league first before you think about moving to a tougher level? not trying to be smart, but shippy were absolutely destroyed by cowden reserves in the fife cup and will probably get pumped in the scottish senior cup. whats the point? surely time to just accept your level and play in the scottish amatuer cup like everyone else. too many people living in the past and dont like change throughout scottish football They do play in the amateur scottish aswell Ally. They get invited into the senior Scottish and Fife cups aswell, surely no team would turn that down? When i played there we were on the end of a few humpings in those cups but they were still great experiences. know what your saying stevie, didnt realise they are invited, always thought they paid to be in the sfa and that got them in.However if my team was getting humped 11-0 or 9-0 or whatever cowden beat them by i would decline the invitation and concentrate on my own level. to be honest i would be embarressed at wasting cowdenbeaths time but maybe thats just me We went down to Wigtown 4years ago in 1st round of Scottish and won 5.3. No1 knew what to expect but during the game when there's camera's there was a bit surreal when you play on council parks week in week out and then picture's of some of the boys in newspapers the next day. The night out/in that bus for hours on the way home was one of the best i've ever had with a football team, was a great experience and i'd do it all again even if i knew we were going to get humped. One thing i did notice though playing with the Shippy is that after these Senior games some of the so called better players leave....

  3. Rab, after today's performance & result I fear the 24th. me too but its the old 11 v 11 andy but loved going to places in old days and looking at pete drummond and george mackie cause one thing if there was a battle we would win...hope to be there mate. How many games in the last thirty years have Burntisland Shipyard won in the Scottish cup proper? If there were battles you couldn't have won very many. Im not sure but i def played in one... Got booked, £150 fine....

Those experiences are aomething else, enjoy it and get stuck in. Get through this round and it could be another decent away trip.....
  5. Benarty scoring some amount of goals already this season Benarty willnae get beat aw season! wi the money the have spent i would think not. To be fair benarty have always had a strong team. Think they will take some beating like. Aw the best Haha the ££ issue cums out again It always does when a team start humping others.... If anyone has any definite evidence then fire it on here, if not what's the point in speculating...
  6. You are probably right [Juniors v Amateurs], but it will be a good day out on 24th Sept, looking forward to it, and with some dosh to come from the SFA it is not all bad news You never know Andy, the Shippy have surprised teams in the Scottish before and don't think the Aberdeen juniors are that great, good luck neebs and tell the committee to start spending some of that money Hard draw for the Shippy... Cutler are flying the now and favourites fir the Super League, but hope the Shippy win and hav a Wigtown bus journey home best night out ever on a bus hahahaha Correct Hammy, that will NEVER be beaten, although Albion was decent too.. Hope u do well mate Fack me, they were some nights, from what i can remember anyway which is probably a good thing in a way.....
  7. Will that not be cheating wee man??
  8. Fack me they must be struggling......

Started new job 5months ago though and now work a lot of Saturdays so don't make it as often as i'd like. How's the knee holding out?

    Neil Lennon

Another changed story. What happened with Lennons appeal yesterday? Reduced to 4 games mate !! The obvious thing to happen if you ask me !! He should've just took the 2 games in the 1st place.

  12. Brown was tryin to wind diouf up off the ball all game, I was surprised diouf didn't take the bait. Rangers looked a yard off the pace to me, tryin to go long to jelavic then lafferty to much.
  13. Not going good for them so far...
  14. 9 out eh 10 but one was a stab in the dark Fack sake wee man, 9/10??? I thought you knew everything tae??
