If you want to watch amateur level players playing in entertaining games, why not just watch amateur fitba, its better value than junior . Same level of players and its free.

    Kelty 3-3 Kinross
Kelty slightly the better team and were 2-1 and 3-2 up but Kinross scored late on. In fairness to Kinross ref missed a stone-waller penalty for them as well.

Ive been checking some results from 2006/7 season on the archived section of the forum , also reading some of the threads at the same time. Fife cup final thread is pretty funny.
Noticed another rule at the time was that a team could play someone a Fife cup tie who was registered with another club if he wasn't cup tied in the Fife cup. Is this still the case?

Apologises to Kirkland from bayside. Numerous reasons why we were unable to fulfil fixture tomorrow namely boys going away to a concert, injuries, manager on holiday.

Unfortunately these things happen tho. The fixture was to be played a couple of weeks ago however we agreed to postpone it due to Kirkland manager having a family emergency.

We will take the fine on the chin however and deal with it. Sure everyone agrees there are numerous learning points re this cup.

Personally I think it's a good format however could be tweaked a bit to be improved namely changing the name of it to a league at the first stages which will allow teams to play trialists and maybe playing in the middle of the season when teams have a full compliment of players.

Just my opinion tho. Congrats to Kirkland and Kelty in professing. Well done.

think you would have to ask Charlie his reason for not wanting to be part of the amalgamation before slagging the guy off. As Duggers says we need guys that will give up their personal time to do a job that they don't get anything for it barr wanting things to run smoothly. Fixture sec must be the hardest job on the committee, plenty folk slag them on both sites but nobody volunteers to do their job.

Wether he goes shopping on a saturday or not i would like to thank him for his services to the Kingdom league, all the best Charlie

Jimmy I've had more than a few run ins on here wi him over the years (as he will agree) but that's a shi77y comment pal. I take it yer still pi55ed after Friday? If the guy didn't care he'd have given up years ago - Ye need all the administrators Ye can get in sport. Try it yersel my friend and feel the grief on a weekly basis. It's certainly no a job for personal glory. Easy to slag aff from yer ivory tower this weekend. When yer at the top it's the best time to show some humility or ye just end up looking like a supercilious pr!ck! 😐👍. Again 😃👊

Meeting started well with everybody sounding positive about the changes. Sadly it then had to be abandoned after Walter Clark and Tommy Doyle got into a heated exchange about the size of the team sheets for next season which resulted in Walter putting Tommy in a headlock only for Tommy to bounce back with the People's Elbow. A royal rumble then began with bodies going through tables and the Glens 1970's furniture being used as weapons!!
Nah, was all good. Logo agreed on for next season, fees discussed, committee members confirmed and potential league (based on current standings) looked at. End of season in both associations will be interesting with one or two decent sides on both association in danger of missing out on the top league. That championship is gonna be a tough league too and if all the teams that have shown an interest do actually come through, the Div 1 league is gonna be interesting too.

Love how everyone has commented on us over the years in the kingdom league of how poor we have been. We should never have threw that game away being 2-0 but we did and I thought Kinross were half decent and good bunch of guys.We Made changes to give boys a run out and never worked out for us and gave sloppy goals away. But it's also hard to start winning games when you are used to getting beat every week. In hindsight we should never have joined the kingdom league we were an average FAFA team that made a few cup finals and bounced between bottom league and the middle league when we were in the fafa. I think our management team at the time thought moving to a better league would attract better players. And to be honest I think it discouraged boys as boys were reluctant to join a team that were always going to struggle in the kingdom league. I enjoyed playing against better teams in the kingdom but unfortunately not been much fun losing all the time. But we have always kept going and sometimes struggled to field a team but we have a good group of boys who are determined to make it a success. We have a new management team in place for next season and doing a lot of work off the park to try and improve all aspects of the club from players to fundraising etc. We look forward to the new challenge next season.

Horrible idea imo. I get people think it would increase crowds but I'm not convinced. It wouldn't be a fife league, teams like Kelty, Haws and dundonald not in it, and as mentioned, craigroyston playing luncarty in a league game. Next season teams would be playing for nothing. Current setup obviously doesn't suit everyone but doubt any setup will ever please all clubs. Would be surprised if this gets voted in!

As regards the meeting, some really good comments were discussed
I suppose in hindsight it could have been slightly better but we were all there apart from a few clubs
So in a nutshell yes there was a more of a suggestion put forward but it wasn't acted upon due to the fact that other proposals were going to be looked at which weren't put forward yet
What was agreed by all was:
    Merger to happen
    Naming of new Assoc
Formation of league set up to be 1st on the agenda
Both committees to communicate and meet up, along with bringing in some club reps to look at different ways we can make the merger more open and transparent and act up on all clubs requests/ideas
So what happens next???................clubs have been invited to send their proposals to their Assoc Sec who will make these visible to the other Assoc who in turn will do the same with theirs
In 1st week in March at each Assoc meeting these proposals will be discussed and voted upon, both Assoc committees meet up discuss and put forward 2/3 proposals at the next 'all in meeting' thus allowing a proposal to be accepted and put in place and that becomes the new league format voted on by all clubs
We can then move on to cups, sponsorship, etc etc so what we do is form this new Assoc one step at a time
I would imagine that a new committee will be voted in at the start of the new season as will local rules to be added to the constitution
Remember people are all entitled to their opinion and hey Rome wasn't built in a day and please lets be sensible with this and make the effort to continue progression but do it step by step and tick off the boxes as we complete them
There will be challenges but we need to look at solutions and if need be compromise for the good of all and yes some clubs may be disappointed but if things are voted in then so be it
Good to see new clubs coming on board..............whats that 44-45 clubs.....that's a decent amount we need to make sure we make sure we can fit in the games making sure clubs play decent amount of fixtures without burning them selves out.....remember it is amateur football
    Remember the saying.......

As a member of a fafa team who attended tonight's meeting I have to commend the Aberdour Committee member for putting it together.
Before anyone jumps on any bandwagon can I state that there was no hidden agenda. Everything was plain the kingdom CLUBS have come together and told their league committee they want change and want the door opened to talk to fafa.
I have to say thank you to all the kingdom clubs pride has stopped this from happening in the past and only pride can stop it moving forward.
All clubs from both sides should approach our committees and get a meeting together with both parties all clubs and 2/3 proposals to push fife football forward.
Regardless of where we have been, who has done what, who has won this, it needs to ends and we come together under one association.
Many proposals have been put forward on this forum but we need more solid and definitive plans so a meeting would not be a shouting match.
Would a merger be so bad? Is it purely down to arrogance from both sides this can't happen? Would surely be the easiest and most productive way of bringing both associations together however we have to be United and willing to compromise on both sides.

For the sake of Fife Amateur football put pride asside and ensure we make our football associations one of the best in Scotland and not the laughing stock off Scottish amateur football.
cheers lads fir reading and a hope wee all make a go of getting this done.
