As a member of a fafa team who attended tonight's meeting I have to commend the Aberdour Committee member for putting it together.
Before anyone jumps on any bandwagon can I state that there was no hidden agenda. Everything was plain the kingdom CLUBS have come together and told their league committee they want change and want the door opened to talk to fafa.
I have to say thank you to all the kingdom clubs pride has stopped this from happening in the past and only pride can stop it moving forward.
All clubs from both sides should approach our committees and get a meeting together with both parties all clubs and 2/3 proposals to push fife football forward.
Regardless of where we have been, who has done what, who has won this, it needs to ends and we come together under one association.
Many proposals have been put forward on this forum but we need more solid and definitive plans so a meeting would not be a shouting match.
Would a merger be so bad? Is it purely down to arrogance from both sides this can't happen? Would surely be the easiest and most productive way of bringing both associations together however we have to be United and willing to compromise on both sides.
 
For the sake of Fife Amateur football put pride asside and ensure we make our football associations one of the best in Scotland and not the laughing stock off Scottish amateur football.

Restructure--Restructure meaning,definition,what is restructure-To organize a company,business,or system in a new way to make it operate better.This is what the Kingdom teams want to Discuss,nothing more.

For any club interested. I have read with great interest all comments on this subject, however I must take exception to the post stating that SAFA has banned this meeting. This is direct from SAFA this afternoon. "We have no issue with any clubs holding an informal meeting. If the meeting is banned then it is FAFA who have banned it and it's their decision not SAFA's."

Remember the request/meeting is for a 'merger' so not an amalgamation
Lets not get into slagging each league/set up/teams etc
There is now some people making a positive stance in moving Fife Ams football ahead
But lets be sensible about this and the meeting is neutral thus allowing communication and counter proposals
Lets make the transition sensible and not over complicating it with play offs, doing this for 1 season change in season 2 etc
then the agreed proposal needs to go to each committee be put into place with it being given the sanction to go ahead from the SAFA
Then the work starts so plans and timelines set out, committee voted in, cups decided upon sponsors spoken to etc etc
Has the original proposal been sent to all clubs for their perusal pre mondays meeting?

Would be good to see another Fife team going junior. Look how well Kennoway Star Hearts have done, good chance of a place in Super league if they keep up current form.

Think ylum will apply for the fafa next season ... join the bottom and work there way up if were good enough .... its called sporting integrity ...... thats the way to do it as amalgamation wont happen ..... would you want teams in your league who have had people like charlie justice and jimmy mitchell bend over backwards for them to help out and then be stabbed in the back .. thats whats happened here

Couldn't agree more Pete!! The way this has been dealt with is laughable.. don't know how the KCFA & SAFA can think what has went on is ok!! Quite embarrassing really!
Reading through and hearing a lot of the FACTS.. no letter, just play them.. even though there names appeared on suspension sheets, club contacted from players previous club, feel sorry for players at other clubs, who have played by the rules and served there suspensions and missed out on playing football, yet other players have just ignored the fact and played anyway.... get found out, and all gets swept under the carpet hoping everyone will just get on with it!!
 
How the KCFA can move forward from this is beyond me, how can they possibly attract new teams to the current set up and move forward from this? I can't see it I'm afraid..
 
The 2 guys u mentioned, have been great servants to the league over I don't know how many years, and deserve a lot of respect!
 
For the good of Fife Amateur Football, the only way forward IMO is a total shake up, amalgamation / merging what ever u want to call it, is a must, I honestly can't see why anyone could see this as a negative thing! The best Amateur teams in Fife all in one League playing each other... It's the only way Fife Amateur Football can recover from this mess....

The proposals will be discussed in the first place at the FAFA exec meeting
The comments last night from teams that approached me yesterday its seems that we want it to happen and like all proposals we are all open to discussion, flexibility and proper negotiation. We understand it'll take a few seasons to bed in but in all honesty I think a 40 plus team association will be brilliant for ams football and will bring teams on and attract others to come onboard
This should be the way forward, we put in place the right set up, the right format, with the right people and even get a Fife select to represent the Kingdom and pitch ourselves against others
It can happen.... and it's not about individuals or hidden agendas its about clubs sticking their hands up and vote Y or N

It looks like it was always going to be too late to put this in place for this season. Lets keep sensible, and keep the boys that are willing to take this on interested and use the months ahead to put this in place for the following season with a new agreement that will suit the majority. Some noses will be out of joint because sometimes people don't like change. Personally not sure how to go about this legally but pretty sure this is achievable with the correct boys at the helm. No sure if the FAFA AGM will have the chance to discuss the subject but no doubt we will find out.

No reason to give up on this, keep pushing for it and it will happen.

Good to see this is happening, hope everyone can cooperate and get this in place for 2017/18 season.

Well as the new Chairman of the FAFA come the AGM I am all for it. I have always maintained there should be one Fife Association. I also think that one Association will make it attractive to new sponsors while hopefully keeping our current ones. If we don't work it out ourselves then the SAFA may well work it out for us!
 
I am also happy to offer my support and assistance to any set up group.
 
As to committee members payments to help cover expenses I believe these should continue with any new Association but no doubt will be discussed during negotiations. It is not unreasonable for any professional Association to pay expenses/gratuities to their Executive Committee.
 
Not having an allegiance to one particular club my continued involvement in the FAFA Committee is purely to see the future of Amateur football continue and grow in Fife.

how is it not healthy !!! most of them this is probably the only exercise they do apart from a game of golf. when i played we would rather play than train, don't think the youth of today are any different.
 
unless we cut down the cup games then any successful team will have the same problems, Bowhill had the same a few seasons back. Teams had to wait to play them as well as they are this season
 
it's not a shambles because 1 team have a really good season, would the same be said if the Weem or Valleyfield had done what we have achieved the last 2 seasons.
 
Probably no and you can't blame the fixture sec as he has to juggle things about to suit games as well as clubs asking for a free week when needed.
 
Would be great if we could be like the west coasters and play league games during the dark nights on astro parks but the cost of parks scupper that idea, then again not all teams agree with playing on astro.

Aye ur maybe right but with the the amount of games we will have had this season ( think its 52/53 ) once it's finished then it's not that easy to fit all the games in to the normal time frame that we class as a normal season.
 
Think last year we finished mid June and that was being in the 4 league cups as well and taking our run in the Scottish this season then what chance do we have or Ceejay of organising the season to finish a bit earlier.
 
A Cup Final on a Tuesday night ....... naw, not a good idea. Leven players and committee enjoy our football and rightly celebrate any success that we have so after a cup final we go for a few beers and to be honest we canny afford to take time off our work with a hangover ( not saying we will win every game ) but mind there are 2 teams in a Final and the same applies to them.
 
We have had Ylum, then Bowhill in 2 as well as Kinross in the last Cup Final. Canny see their guys wanting to play a Cup Final midweek.
 
Play more games at the start of the season ( midweek ) might be the answer. That will be up to the clubs to decide at the AGM.
 
As for the training well our pre-season will probably only be 4/5 weeks as we finish on the 30 June and start back on the 12th July but with us ticking over for the Cup Finals it will mean that the squad will be reasonably fit and that any player coming in to the squad will have to catch up with them unless they have been doing their own bit during the normal close season.
 
Success has it's price and if you ask anyone they would rather have it this way than finishing their season early.

And when a club has 2 unfulfilled fixtures due to guys working, injuries and family commitments? Much like YM. You going to fine them the equivalent of a seasons worth of pitch fees and force a club to fold. It's fcuking amateur football FFS. Absolute madness

It was a late night, got home just in time to wake my partner up for her work at 5 am with a cup of tea.
 
The support last night was brilliant and Leven Utd as a club would like to thank you ALL.
 
Scottish Cup Finalists unnn fukcin unbelievable, I personally could not take it in what we had achieved when the final whistle went and ended up going in to the dressing room and started clearing up. It's only now I have realised what we have achieved and it's a brilliant feeling.
 
Game is a blur at the moment, just mind of Sparkys goal. It was a peach but no doubt the baw bag will have told everyone about it already.
 
The bus trip home was very loud to say the least and I would like to say sorry to all the lorry drivers parked up for the night at Harthill service station for waking them up when we had a peeee stop.
