The resignation of the illustrious Lion King, along with the free transfers of the Legendary Scar to Dundonald and Rafiki to Lochgelly sees a new beginning at Warout this season. I genuinely wish them well.

Are you sure that isn’t Sonic? Gobshite doesn’t leave the house.

It’s Spuggy not puggy but I suspect you already know that and I’ve been told he’s a good guy who’s son plays with Glenrothes Stollers.

Chinese whispers on this occasion auld yin as I’ve been reliably informed that this was not football related. The protest that took place was in nearby Malcolm Road close to Warout Primary school due to a suspected child groomer being housed there.

Can’t find any announcements from the tribute club while I’ve been away. What’s the latest rumours?

There will be no announcement until Kelty say so and that won’t be until after their 20s have completed their season on Thursday.

Back in the Premier having lost out on goal difference to Kirriemuir for the North League they are further proof that it is not always the manager who is at fault when a club are underachieving. Looking forward to their Derby games next season with Christopher Ireland up against the might of William Campbell and James Shields having to defend against that skinny wee ginger lad.

    Thornton Hibs

Congratulations to Thornton Hibs on winning the Fife and Lothians last night. Did someone ask me at the start of the season what I was smoking?

It’s the pageboys I feel sorry for in this marriage of convenience. They’re the victims in this sham marriage, being manipulated for both clubs purposes.

I think you’re forgetting who their manager is. With the amount of players Ferguson ships in and out of a team during the course of a season even the lesser players like Chitemere, Martin and Pearson could be called upon by Christmas. Especially if they’re sitting top of the table.

Only the tip of the iceberg mate. If you think them selling their soul is bad, wait until you hear the rest of the big plan. Will be interesting to hear how it’s dressed up.

Got wind of it a while back auld yin when they announced they were leaving the juniors but only found out on Sunday the names of those that are coming on board. Unlike some, I learn from my mistakes, so having previously jumped in too quick to reveal details of Callum Kinnes being held to ransom, kept quiet. Plus the fact I’m too modest and don’t like to brag about what’s happening.

Wow, where do I start? ....what a complete bellend. I genuinely thought with all the rumours flying around the last couple of weeks about the Glens being on its knees, Warout being closed down, players not wanting to extend contracts and interviews being held for a new manager, that given the disgraceful behaviour by associates of the club in the past COYG was on here to quash them and attempt to rebuild some form of integrity. Looks like the current regime haven’t learned any lessons.

If there’s any truth in what I was told yesterday from a reliable source I met at the under 19s Fife cup final, don’t be surprised if they’re playing in maroon next season under the name Glenrothes Hearts.

The dreaded vote of confidence, wish I had a pound for every time I’ve heard that line from a board member of a senior club. Never a good sign as I’m sure Alan Pardew will testify. Seriously though, I thought myself this was a ridiculous rumour but understand all the speculation. Glens were a huge junior club with a proud history and very soon all that will disappear when they join the EoS. I can also see why some might say the club is “on its knees”. The league table doesn’t lie and there’s been a serious lack of recruitment over the last few seasons. It’s not that long ago since Glens were playing in a league 2 tiers above Thornton Hibs but now find themselves trailing them by 24 points and would have been a league below next season had they remained. Around the same time Kennoway were playing in the amateurs and being embarrassed 5-1 by them the other night would have been unimaginable. I appreciate the club fell into the hands of someone with a bigger ego than his IQ back then and his misdemeanours are solely responsible for this demise, but he’s been gone about a year now. “Plans for the future” are not going to dispel the rumours. Action needs taken now.

Normally there’s no smoke without fire but this has surely got to be the most ridiculous rumour. I said when the current Glens management were appointed they’d be judged on results and how they conducted themselves in the media. In my opinion their behaviour can’t be faulted but unfortunately they’ve done very little to improve the squad and it would come as no surprise to me if their next game in charge was the last. To replace them with that pair after the underhand tactics they employed to get the YM gig would be utter madness though and I just can’t see it being anything other than speculation.
