  1. The Berts travel to Oakley for this Fife Derby without Chrissy Ireland who is out for a spell with a broken collarbone. Great opportunity for the big summer signing from Glenrothes to make his mark.
  2. Despite the persistent rain and leaky defence since Wednesday night, its game on at Warout today. Arniston Rangers with only 3 points and 3 goals scored in their opening 4 fixtures are the visitors. Surely a home win.
  3. Sacked in the morning, should be sacked in the morning, sacked in the morrrrrrrrrning, he should be sacked in the morning.
  4. Whitburn 2 Glenrothes 0 Defeat to one of the weakest sides in the division who played almost the entire second half with 10 men. Only 3 games in and Oor Wullie already has more disciplinary than league points to his name.
  5. If the club you refer to is Glenrothes Colin I would like to make it clear I have no bitterness towards them. The most hated man in junior football and his puppet have left and they are finally getting their act together and I wish them every success in the future. However I have it on good authority (speaking to a relative of one of the players concerned at work last night) that Oor Wullie embarrassed himself in the latter stages of the game on Sunday, getting needlessly involved with opposition players & spectators. Only the cool head of Simpy prevented the situation from spiralling out of control apparently. I'm sorry you find the earlier post offensive and I have deleted it but no need for the childish remarks mate.
  6. Comment deleted because another poster took exception to it
  7. Simpy the best 4 Stoney broke 1 A no show yesterday from Gav Gray comes as no surprise to me and neither does the result. After 5 years in the doldrums Sean has brought a smile back to the faces of the supporters, committee and everyone else associated with the Glens.
  8. they lost their top goal scorer to East Fife , Mike Lee to Haws and Gav Gray to Glenrothes and I'm sure there are others, think they've got a few injuries too and only brought in ammies or under 19s . Add to that losing one of the best secretaries in the game plus the managers health issues and it doesn't bode well at all. Reckon they will finish bottom of the super league but Ecks health is more important and I wish him all the best in his recovery.
  9. Glenrothes 3 Kinnoul 0 Kennoway 7 Kirkcaldy 0 Glens take on Star Hearts in today's final at Kinnoul after both sides had comfortable wins yesterday. The Glens were in control from the start against the tournament hosts and dominated the game, while Star didn't need to get out of first gear against the Kirkcaldy outfit who are in for an even tougher season after losing 2 of their best players to Lochgelly. Prediction: I feel a lot will depend on which Gav Gray turns up today but just fancy Simpy the best's side to get the better of Stoney brokes super league new boys. 2-1
  10. Final score in tonight's friendly anyone? Had to leave early due to being nightshift.
  11. You're probably right about the lack of experience but Byers has given up for good and I see on their Facebook page today that they signed Dinky from GPR so obvious lack of funds too. Few others have left and not been replaced and been told their manager is seriously ill so no looking good at all.
  12. Did Kennoway have any new signing James? Been told a couple of boys who left are set to return.
  13. How did Kelty get on in their odd goal in 6 against Broxburn d1ckhead?
  14. First Gav Gray and now Malky the Alky as goalkeeping coach ( only joking he's a no Badd Lad) . Well done Simpy looks like you're determined to make Glenrothes great again mate.
  15. An unassuming Glenrothes man who served in Afghanistan with ISAF against the taliban has spoken for the first time about his experience with the most brutal regime he has ever encountered. Talking only hours after parting company with them the goalkeeping coach described his time there as a living hell.
  16. Having touted the Berts for success this season only last month, Nessie has made me look an absolute fool. Allowing Mr Illustrious anywhere near Gardiners park no matter what the capacity is a recipe for disaster as all his traits will eventually rub off. Downsizing has already begun with the acquisition of Chris Ireland and the subsequent sale of Lewis Elder to the Haws. Prediction : A comprehensive defeat at the hands of Kingdom Athletic would have been unthinkable only a few weeks ago but came as no surprise to me. Nowhere near the top 4 this season I'm afraid.
  17. with the doom and gloom that once surrounded the club now shifted to Lochgelly, the supporters, players and committee at Glens are once again enjoying their football. After a couple of friendly victories against mediocre opposition at Strollers and in Stonehaven the first real test of the new season came against the mighty Ylum. Expectations were high and although they matched the second tier amateur outfit for passsion and desire on the pitch the lack of any real leadership on the sidelines cost them as they lost the game by the odd goal in 8. Prediction: another long hard season awaits fighting it out at the foot of the table but fortunes to change after the announcement of Simpy as manager in the new year.
  18. Lochgelly Albert 4 Fossaway 1 Good run out for both teams, Lochgelly never looked like conceding until their No 10 decided to do the highland fling on the edge of his own penalty area. Found his rightful position in the second half though.
  19. The resignation of the illustrious Lion King, along with the free transfers of the Legendary Scar to Dundonald and Rafiki to Lochgelly sees a new beginning at Warout this season. I genuinely wish them well.
  20. Your a slavour 😂😂 I think you mean, You're a slaver. Aren't we all on here? Ok I exaggerated slightly but there were at least 5 ex Kennoway ammies turned out for you boys last season.
  21. Majority of them were playing for Leven last season.
  22. Looking forward to it as well mate. Be good to see you out and about again.
  23. Very good friend of mine playing for the legends today in a testimonial at Lochgelly James . 12pm ko. Pop along, who knows you might eventually get that "tap on the shoulder" and "apology" you were promised from your "pal"
