  1. Roughly quarter of an hour still to play and it’s all square. Been told the goal scorer for the Glens was number 8. Looks like they’ve found a new box to box midfielder.
  2. Missed the first goal by a matter of minutes. Didn’t know it was a 1-30ko, will bring you the goal scorer when I get it.
  3. Been working in Perth this morning again so made the short trip along the road to see for myself just how unlucky one team can be. I’m hearing all games in Fife have been wiped out today and only a handful of conference matches have survived so will bring you updates from my excellent vantage point throughout the day.
  4. A Jambo I’m working with today just said “they were both bragging in the summer about how all their prayers were answered when they each signed a 6 foot plus centre back with big reputations that turned out to be Duff eh!!!”
  5. Managers Report Glenrothes 1 Peebles Rovers 3 We dominated the game but poor defending and a host of missed opportunities cost us again. It’s frustrating but I’m still the man for the job.
  6. The return to league duty saw yet another home defeat for both Kennoway 0-2 and Rosyth 1-2 against Haddington and Leith respectively. Thornton won 6-2 away to Craigroyston, and let’s give a big hand to Steptoe and son as Kirkcaldy registered their first league win at the ninth attempt 2-1 at home Dalkeith.
  7. Back to league business this week and an opportunity for most to put last weeks disappointing cup exits behind them. Where better to start for the Glens than at HOME with the return to the team of this weeks KEY man. The visitors were Peebles Rovers, who last season had very little to cheer on the road, or indeed for that matter at their Whitestone road home as they finished the season second bottom of their conference with only 8 points from a possible 60 and a goal difference of -69 pre covid. After suffering a 9-2 home mauling on the opening day of this campaign they won’t have been relishing travelling to Little Fife to face the best Glenrothes squad in 10 years. Kudos to them then for taking all 3 points against the unluckiest side in a decade as they ran out 3-1 winners.
  8. Expect it will be something like this then Glenrothes 1 - 5 St Cadocs We competed well but for all the hard work we put in to be undone by 4 crosses was very unlucky. Oops I mean disappointing.
  9. Mixed fortunes for our clubs in the first series of matches in this straight knockout competition. No real shocks but a couple of good performances. Notably in our featured match, where Thornton Hibs who entertained 4 times junior cup winners Rutherglen Glencairn from the top WOSL at Bayview. Thomson scoring the only goal of the game, early in the first half.Been asked to give a special mention to Ryan Linton who done really well deputising for the injured Millar last half hour of the game as the MOTM was apparently awarded to McNab again. No not the one at the back sent off 5 minutes from the end but the one in the middle who had the enviable task if you get my drift. A real backs to the wall second half effort but a superb result in the end. Well done lads. Great effort too by Rosyth, who at one point looked to be pulling off the shock of the day but eventually succumbed at home to Camelon going down 5-3.Elsewhere there was an uninspiring 1-0 win for the Haws away at Glasgow University and a comfortable day for Kirkcaldy against the amateurs from Lockerbie who still managed to score 3 goals. Defeats for the rest of Fife’s contingent with Newburgh and Crossgates losing on the road to Blackburn 3-1 and Coldstream 2-0 respectively, Burntisland 4-1 at Bo’ness and Inverkeithing by 6 goals to 3 at Gartcairn. Kennoway lost 3-0 at Treaton Park to the bhoys from St Rochs. Glenrothes were beaten 5-1 at Starks Park to St Cadocs ( heard they were lucky not to concede 3 or 4 more) but the most embarrassing result for the second week running was at Langlands road where St Andrews exited the competition, (unless HRAU have fielded another ineligible player) after a 3-2 defeat.
  10. Was in Perth at the weekend ( essential work travel) and took a wee sneaky peak up at Jeanfield. Very impressed with what I saw in the 40 or so minutes either side of halftime. Judging by this performance I reckon they should be up there challenging Tranent for promotion.
  11. First point of the season for Kirkcaldy away at St Andrews. The managerial merry go round in Fife will soon be in motion and Charlie King has now edged ahead of John Mitchell as the first casualty after that result.
  12. All that wallowing around in negative energy. Someone must have performed black magic and hexed the Glens. Taken the time and trouble to construct a ritual to direct harm against them again.
  13. Newbury knocked off top spot after a crushing 6-0 defeat at the hands of my tip to win this division Luncarty. Once again though all the attention was at the bigot dome, as the Glens yet to put in a good performance all season were the visitors with as expected no Carstairs in the squad. Even so this was a great opportunity missed to record a first clean sheet of the season eventually drawing 1 each against a team who put in yet another woeful performance in midweek and were hammered 5-0 by Easthouses Lily. Anyone got Sean Simpsons phone number?
  14. For me it’s how badly the Glens have started, given the backing they’ve received from the chairman this season. Still just “plodding away” so far despite the experience added with the signings of Carstairs and McManus. Expecting them to win very easily today against a poor Easthouse outfit and be up there challenging soon, otherwise it will be very interesting to see developments considering this is their strongest squad in a long time.
  15. They will take several hammerings but will still finish above Tweedmouth.
  16. Can’t see them finishing in the top 5 myself to be honest. Whoever finishes above LTHV will win it.
  17. Not just last season, they’ve finished bottom and conceded something like 80 or 90 goals most seasons in the EOS. Think Glens had a couple of players missing ,but no excuse for losing (to a side whom they finished about 30 points above last season) with what is considered to be their best squad in the last decade.
  18. The weaker of the 2 conferences with no fewer than 6 Fife clubs involved, and an easy victory to start off the campaign for Oakley against one of this seasons whipping boys.
  19. Maximum points and 2 clean sheets for Thornton as they share top spot with KSH who sit atop due to goal difference.
  20. The new football season is finally underway, albeit not for too much longer for many if the info I’ve received is correct. It’s Dundonald who lead the way again for Fife with maximum points from their first 2 matches in the top division.
  21. It’s still there and the content has never changed. It was light hearted and Im not denying it suggests his granny along with others could end up being infected due to his desperation for a game of football. Claiming you seen anything different deems you nothing more than a fecking liar. End of
  22. Come on mate, I know you and you’re better than that. Boys made a statement and be honest you’ve attacked the poster and not the post. Next time before you “assume” try this crazy method called “asking” I also seen the post you refer to, clearly long before you did as well because I waited quite some time on your reply. Had he said anything like you now claim you would have replied straight away.
  23. Guys, it is with deep regret and profound sadness that I inform you today the passing of our dear friend Oak Lee. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. My thoughts are with his wife of 47 years and family. RIP “auld yin”
  24. Well we have everything we need to know now and the Scottish football season restarts on the tenth of June so he now has 6 days in which to respond or we will not only go after him but the club who are harbouring him. There is no place to hide for Jason Cummings who will inevitably have to go and he is certainly no different. Bertie/Ian Patrick man up, and either resign, apologise to those offended by your comments or elaborate on such comments because we are no longer going to tolerate you or Lochgelly Albert sweeping this under the carpet. Don’t say you haven’t been warned.
