Due to recent IT security upgrades with the Scottish FA Player Registrations, our Cup Management system, being administered by a third-party service provider, can no longer gain access to the Player Registration Database which has resulted in any team lines you receive for our National & District cup fixtures being unpopulated. This issue will not be fixed in the near future, and presently we are unsure it can be amended this season, and ultimately may result in a change of the Scottish Amateur FA's Cup Management system. Therefore, until further notice it has been agreed that teams have three options regarding their team lines for their National & District Cup matches for this season. Teams can use their normal League/Association team lines and simply mark the competition as the Scottish Amateur Cup, Sunday Trophy, or appropriate District Cup, along with the other match details. Teams can complete the blank team line they will receive automatically from the Cup Management System, however as you will know this is a PDF document and the spacing is not user friendly for writing on. Teams can use the attached general Team Line, which is a word document, and the players details can be added along with the other relevant details of the match and the competition. All other aspects of the Cup Management system are operational as normal and teams will still receive the results text message after the match, as this issue only impacts on the populated team line. Regarding the details of your Match Official for each fixture, once allocated the details of your Referee will be available either on the blank automated team line you will receive, or available at the Scottish Amateur FA website at the appropriate competition under the National or District

We haven't got ours yet but the SAFA are a shambles when it comes to IT so not holding my breath!

We have had to call one game off this season due to Covid and as it was a Scottish Cup tie we had to provide proof and submit a letter explaining the situation. Surely this is something the KofFAFA need to look at? Seems to be way too easy for teams just to call games off when struggling. Almost like an Ad Hoc free week!!

I brought up the issue of your proposal at one of the league meetings as I felt it could be an asset to the league but in fairness the committee gave a solid reason for declining and it was purely, they felt, in the interest of the association after they carried out due diligence.

At the AGM and did you get clubs to propose you? I cannot recall the last time another name was put forward for any of the positions at the AGM but they drag on so long I may have been asleep!!!

It is not a closed door as each AGM clubs can propose replacements for all the roles within the association but no one ever comes forward. Agree there are many things that could be done better or more efficiently across all aspects of the association but we need people to step up to the plate and until such time we need to support the guys in the roles as frustrating as it can be at times!!
