  1. Rosyth bullied the ref into a corner and he blew for ft This the refs words or are you taking that from another source?
  2. The replay was ordered because the ref abandoned the game incorrectly. That's the be all and end all of the situation. The other circumstances around it were irrelevant in the decision. Rightly or wrongly. I'm of the same opinion as everyone else. I don't see the need for a replay due to the score and time left in the game. BUT that is what the Fife Executive have ordered and that's what must happen for both teams.
  3. The ref has made a mistake. He's only human. One player has been handed a full year ban for comments made in this game. In fairness I'm sure Rosyth could do without this match as well but again like GPR and every other club within the SAFA we have to follow the guidelines set out and do what the executive committee tell us to do. Il sure they would have sought advice from the SAFA before handing this case.
  4. Some don't have the luxury of having £50 to pay the fine Pete. They've already had to pay out in fines due to the lack of discipline from the players in this game. Sasa I'm not part of the committee for the Saturday ams but I do know what happened and I know what happened at the Executive meeting. IMO Rosyth have handled the situation with dignity in respect to apologising to the referee, committee and to GPR themselves. Rosyth DID NOT ask for this replay. They like GPR were told the tie must be replayed. Surely after a 9-1 victory before and the fact Rosyth will be missing these 4 players you have to fancy your chances of progressing anyway.
  5. Certainly not condoning anything. I've heard and seen the match reports from the referee and it's nothing short of embarrassing. My point is though that people are coming on here having a go at Rosyth because the tie is to be replayed. Rosyth never once appealed the decision to abandon the match regardless of the referees mistake. It was the Fife Executive that made that decision. Rosyth like GPR will get on with the tie. Also would yer park no take a battering from any other league game against a Kingdom side between now and the end of the year? FFS it's ammie fitbaw that's what happens at this time of year.
  6. Nobodys saying the ref didnt get it wrong ..... They were 9-1 doon wae five mins to go and doon to 7 men cause of losing their discipline..... Surely you dont want a replay after that ? Fackin embarrassing min ....... Have a look at yourselves ffs Saturday Ams nothing to do with me Pete. Again the decision was nothing to do with Rosyth and if they concede the tie they'll be fined for not completing a fixture.
  7. No Rosyths problem. Fife Executive ordered the replay. End of story. I was told by a member of the executive committee that the referee held his hands up that he got confused with the rules and abandoned the game in error. Doesn't matter if it's 2 mins or 40 mins he got it wrong.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-34720850 Not a great day for Rangers. The former club loses it's big tax case and the new club have also recorded a operating loss of over £7million.
  9. Wasn't long ago that Cupar were in the Scottish Cup final and winning trophies for fun Baz. Now look at them.
  10. All very well having pitches like bowling greens but when clubs like Kettle, Glenrothes and Kinross to an extent are playing in a league where they have no possibility of winning the league or being relegated from it then what is their purpose? Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts left the Kingdom league because they had no chance of winning it and prior to folding this season had a small amount of success in the FAFA. I agree that the standard of the top end clubs in the Kingdom league are better than those in the FAFA but clubs like Valleyfield, Pittenweem and Denbeath will make the Kingdom League far more competitive. Might be far fetched saying this but what if the member clubs from the FAFA resigned from the association then applied to the Kingdom League. Would the Kingdom League committee look at the possibility of having 3 divisions?
  11. IMO only way this will happen is if every member club of the FAFA gets together away from the FAFA committee and come up with a plan themselves. It's already proven that the FAFA and the Kingdom League committee are miles apart in terms coming to an agreement. The clubs themselves should force it through if it is what they really want
  12. Pete from what I've been told the referee at the Rosyth GPR game was on a power trip. Couldn't talk to him without pulling a card out yet challenges worthy of a red went unpunished. Nothing to do with the result. GPR were worthy winners.
  13. Not sure if it's a windup but hear GPR Rosyth game was abandoned. Rosyth had 4 players sent off
  14. It wasn't. The stadium in Moscow had the astro ripped up and replaced with grass

Ask the 45000 fans who were at the game on Thursday if they were celebrating Pete. Dejected is more the type of word I would use. A combination of results has done us and ultimately it has come down to the fact we couldn't beat Georgia away and ROI taking 4 points from Germany.

Experience Scotty. These boys are the future for Scotland. Strachan had a balance he was confident with and stuck to the squad with making minimal changes. He will go and experiment with the squad between no and the World Cup qualifiers to give these guys the chance. That's if he sticks around.

Ultimately it came down to 1 result against Georgia and 2 freak results for the ROI over Germany that have prevented us from qualifying. Strachan has done extremely well with the pool of players he has. Wasn't an easy group and when you look at some of the other groups and who have qualified then clearly this was the hardest possible group for Scotland. At the moment there is no manager better than Strachan to take us forward.
  18. Still having trouble with the quote button Dody
  19. Crossgates secretary actually told me that although they are a semi professional club they are very much fun as an amateur football team. I agree that maybe re-evaluating where they play their football should be looked at
  20. Correct Wattie but unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it on this occasion.
  21. Derek Bowman is signing for Crossgates Juniors on an amateur form. Nothing we can do about it
