  1. Common sense prevails. Well done to both associations. Onwards and upwards for Fife Amateur football
  2. I'm no saying it should happen next season. I think most are in agreement that it should start in 2018/2019 season. For this to work clubs will need to make sacrifices though. Clubs can either be effectively relegated or you can restructure it in a way that you keep the Premier Division and make a Super League with top 7 from FAFA and Kingdom. Promote the top clubs from Championship to Premier Division. Either way it's going to look like clubs are losing out in some shape or form.
  3. Or you can scrap the whole fcuking lot 4/5 sides can go to the FAFA then the Kingdom can have a 7 team league. How about that? The FAFA clubs DO NOT need the Kingdom league clubs. They have a strong competitive league and setup. But everyone is of the opinion that ALL Fife amateur clubs need to be under the one banner. You're the only person bumping your gums about an even split. It is an even split. Top six Kingdom clubs and top six Premier clubs. Four clubs from the FAFA Premier are effectively relegated and two places for clubs who have achieved promotion from the Championship. I don't understand where this is unfair from your point of view. If YLUM were sitting sixth with no chance of finishing any lower I don't think you'd be even putting up a fight here. Was only a few months ago you wanted YLUM to join the FAFA in the bottom division and work your way up the leagues.
  4. So the teams that are left from the FAFA in the Championship. What exactly will they be playing for next season if a proposal like this was to be considered?
  5. Seems to be the most popular proposal and probably the fairest. Certainly adds some spice to the bottom half of the Kingdom too if things are to be put into place for next season. Unsure where Ya Kant is coming from but nothing new there!! 67 percent of the Kingdom sides in the top league and 60 percent of the FAFA Premier sides The issue lies with where YLUM sit at the moment and with Cupar having games in hand YLUM effectively could end up playing in the Championship. Whether he admits that or not is down to how honest he wants to be. If my club was in the same position then maybe I'd be asking the same questions. I have no agenda here. I'm affiliated to no club. All I want to see is a strong association where all clubs in Fife play under the one banner with every club having something to play for. Not an eleven team league where if you're outside the top four you have nothing to play for.
  6. Pete yer no getting it. It doesn't matter what happened or what was said/agreed on three years ago. That proposal is dead in the water. It's six Premier clubs from the FAFA. Four clubs drop to the Championship. Two are promoted. And six of eleven clubs from Kingdom make up the rest of the division. That is fair. What then happens in the three seasons after that is the divisions even themselves out with promotion/relegation and if voted on a play off with third bottom Premier side and third top Championship side in a one off game. What your effectively asking for is an even split but the FAFA have to use two of those places for promoted clubs effectively relegating five Premier teams to the Championship. Hardly a fair compromise and suits the Kingdom clubs as promotion/relegation has never been a factor.
  7. Valleyfield......have they re applied? or is this just rumour? Only new team at last meeting was Eastvale and the 2 from Kingdom Jon apologies if this isn't the case however I read on here there was something in it. I'm sure there could potentially be other new clubs interested in applying. Blairhall being one
  8. Pete three years ago Kingdom had a better hand to deal with. This isn't a continuation from what was discussed three years ago. This is a new proposal which should be fair and has to take everything into consideration. Inverkeithing, Eastvale, Blairhall and Kettle are no longer with you. Balgonie have already applied to join the FAFA. Right now you're possibly looking at a 9 team league next season. Hardly a competitive league is it. There's clearly people on here who have their own agendas. You clearly think Kingdom league is of better standard which I agree with but you have to look at the overall picture. There HAS to be promotion for the FAFA clubs that win their respective leagues. There's also clubs who will in their eyes be relegated even though they never finished in the bottom two. The split is fair in terms of top six clubs from the FAFA and top six from the Kingdom. The other two places are for promoted sides to the Premier. Landell Lass my post based on current standings is only to show what the structure could potentially look like. Final standings would determine which team goes where
  9. PREMIER Auchtermuchty Pittenweem Denbeath Methilhill HOB AM Soccer Bayside Rosyth Aberdour Leven GPR Bowhill Strathmiglo YLUM Championship Kingdom Kirkcaldy Fossoway Kirkcaldy YMCA St Monans Burntisland Fife Thistle Rosebank Leslie Hearts Kinross Cupar Kinglassie Glenrothes Strollers Kirkland 1st Division St Andrews Uni Freuchie Glenrothes Falkland Kelty Kirkcaldy Rovers AM Soccer Reserves St Andrews Glenrothes Athletic Eastvale Kennoway Balgonie Scotia Kinross Colts Lomond Basing on current league positions but IMO this is how the leagues should be set up. Clubs who have finished 1st and 2nd in their leagues must be promoted. Some teams are going to be left disappointed but you're not going to be able to keep everyone happy. FAFA should get the eight places in the Premier as they are the ones bringing the most to the table. Like it or not that's the truth
  10. For the sake of Fife Amateur Football this needs to happen. If the committees cannot get together and agree on anything then the SAFA should be acting as a middle man to find common ground. The league structure won't suit everyone but common sense must prevail throughout this whole process.
  11. January no even finished yet and Freuchie have been relegated. Bayside all but won the league as well. Shambles
  12. Will only take 3 or 4 clubs to move then the rest will follow
  13. ALL KINGDOM LEAGUE CLUBS ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO JOIN THE FAFA Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with any club, association nor am I a signed player at any member club
  14. You can if you drop one of the many cup competitions the association has
  15. Understand what your saying lads but Bayside are 7 from 7 at home this season and I'm guessing they've all been at Pitreavie. Can't see them wanting to play anywhere else other than their home pitch with home form like that
  16. No one is saying they done anything wrong? Just they tried to get the 3G but was unavilable but the grass pitches were and were good to be played on. Just like everyone no one wants their games to be called off and just want to play football Alvesman's comments contradict what you're saying
  17. From previous experience the Manager refuses to allow the use of the pitches at Dalgety Bay if they have not allocated it for the season. Saying that Baysides home pitch is Pitreavie. The whole of Dunfermline and South West Fife pitches were off. Therefor Bayside have done nothing wrong as Kevin is alluding to
  18. Fife Leisure won't allow any club to play on the grass pitches at Dalgety Bay either. You must be allocated a grass park there to play on them
  19. If Pitreavie isn't playable and it's their home pitch it's game off. They're not obliged to fork out £150 to play on Dalgety Bay Astro. Hardly think Bayside would be running scared of Leslie Hearts

    Appeal

It's only going to take 3/4 teams to leave for the rest to follow suit anyway. No team in their right mind will want to play in a 7 or 8 team league.
  21. Callum Strang was different class for Bayside. Ernie was one of the worst cants on a fitbaw park for giving the refs dugs abuse every week. complete embarrassment the way he handled the match at times today.

  23. Start from scratch and be sensible about it. Top teams who apply from Kingdom with top clubs from FAFA Premier. The rest won't take much to restructure. For the sake of Fife Amateur Football this needs to be done properly. Simply stating they should start from the bottom and work their way up the divisions simply doesn't make sense
  24. Was told last night they had folded
