  1. If a side are limited to attacking down one side of the pitch that may say more about what the opposition allow them to do or how they choose to defend rather than that they are deliberately focusing their attacks down one side. Thanks Sheem for the in-depth report.
  2. Hearing Cupar vs Glens is off due to frozen pitch. Hope more games don't fall victim.
  3. Are there any teams still looking to add numbers to their squad in the Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy or Levenmouth area?
  4. Congratulations to The Toonies, gets Pete & co. on their way.
  5. Ach, that's nae guid, you train hard all week, there's got to be something at the end of it.
  6. Good luck tomorrow, Toonies. There's a lot of ground to be made up.
  7. There goes another happy Toonie, I'm always glad when I can help. Sometimes it takes a wise man to stop, look around and see what the team has become. The Toonies have come a long way under the present manager.
  8. Spanner is right, everyone just has to calm down, take stock and realise what we've become. There's been criticism of the manager and a couple of people have defended him, this thread is a storm in a teacup. Let the manager get on with the job he started.
  9. This is all quite undignified and I'm disappointed that this thread has been engineered against Smokey when Madman started the thread and is speaking his own mind. I doubt Smokey and Madman have spoken in the last year. As a current Toonie who has been associated with the club for 3 years, I wouldn't say I'm happy. I've picked up an injury as a direct result of the training regime, yes, partly my own fault but whilst the other 4 who had turned up were warming up, I was sitting on the pavilion step wondering whether to just jack it in. Somehow they managed to start a very small-sided game and I joined in right away. I can't say I was happy when only 9 players turned up for KO at Glenrothes, 10 for Lomond Vics, 11 for Rosyth Wanderers. We could have done with a Smokey on those days. Any Toonie says they're happy, under these circumstances, with the poor run of results, the cup exits and the league position is mental. If Roberto says that this is the best Toonies squad in ages, well, I'm flattered.
  10. Apologies to Burntisland, especially the 7th goalscorer who I failed to pay credit to.
  11. Burntisland Utd 6 Buckhaven Town 1 Two teams that were at much the same level last season, but Burntisland have improved since.
  12. I heard that Buckhaven Town will capture some players from a higher level to compliment their existing quality.
  13. aye ad say he was best player on the park.. won everything in air and made a few gdruns also from the back n mised tht 1 on 1 which he hit from 30yards lol... yeah if the add a few and get fitter as vinnie said b decent side Well done 2 both sides this season Typical end of season affair. Buckhaven left some of there most effective players on the bench, but there was only 11th place to play for anyway.
  14. Does that mean the other 6 had quality and ability? Get another 5 players with quality and ability and the Toonies may well be taken to the next level. 11th in the bottom league. Lets hope the bigger picture still pans far enough down to capture this seasons achievements. Toonies moving forward? David Blaine couldny hold his breath that long........... Chins up to the honest guys who aren't good enough but can be arsed getting out their bed ti play fitbaw Now then, now then. I've heard that the Toonies will be bringing in big names next season. A Gretna style charge through the divisions may beckon.
  15. Does that mean the other 6 had quality and ability?
