The referee awarded a goal and then booked our boy. Surely he canny book him if a goal wiz scored???
Yes - Correct decision by the referee. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/docu...0Misconduct.pdf Page 19
don't think you read the question. The player was only booked and NOT sent off. I cant see anything in that link that would support the refs decision! anybody?
Does streetsahead still answer this thing? baggiokdy
In a match 2 weeks ago, our keeper took a bye kick which bounced awkwardly on an uneven pitch in front of our midfielder. Our midfielder was on his own in the middle of the pitch, stuck out his arm and the ball hit it. The referee then walked over to the offending player and branded a straight red. Is this correct? Over the last few weeks watching English Premiership I have seen similar offences and it has resulted in a booking.

Strange decisions, deliberately handling the ball is a yellow card offence (caution). Obviously you would get a yellow and then red card if the deliberate handball was a second cautionable offence. Deliberately handling the ball and preventing an obvious goalscoring opportunity is a straight red.

Wee-T
last night went to watch kennoway 15s vs leven 15s. the ball went over the kennoway bar and rolled over the net, where the keeper got a touch on it but he stuck his hand through the net. he then gave a leven corner ridiculious.
