kwilson
Only played 3 or 4 games in the same Lochgelly Albert side as Franny but that's all it took to realise that he was an excellent player and a very popular and genuine guy. RIP Franny.

ozzyboy
A true gent on and off the park. A very funny guy off the park and yet so focused, commited and so serious when on it. Could bring out the best in anyone and made you believe in your own ability. A real winner and a true leader, you will not be forgotten, R.I.P ginge. Guest toddy
Darren Francis,Mate, player, husband, son, brother and FATHER what a legend. Its great to see all the comments form people who know and loved him, I was also one and would like to let all of you know how many peoples hearts that he touched here in Australia. I met Darren three years ago and we became freinds straight away,(he had that face that everybody loved),we soon started talking about soccer and then our relationship bonded from there. The next two years i coached him at North City Lions where he helped the club try and achieve winning the Championship and being promoted to the higher leagues,Our first try fell short but this year everything fell into place due to the efforts of Darren who led club to promotion and have the chance to win the championship with two games remaining and three points clear of second. His effort throught the club with his never say no attitude, his personalty always shining and his approach to life as being its alright we we will get there and dont worry. He was a great person to have at the club and NCL will benifit in the long term for knowing Darren Francis ( no 7 ) Football/Soccer played a huge part of Darren life both here in Australia and Scotland and it will continue to do so through Jen and Darrens three boys Liam,Jack and Wee D(Darren Jr) Darren Your inspiration will live within everybody at NCL FOR YEARS TO COME,i will see to that and we will deliver what we spoke about at the start of the season. Whatch from afar my good freind see you again one day, good neebour. R.I.P

charlie crawford
So many heartfelt posts are evidence to the impact Frannie had on all he met be it in football circles or in his life outside the game. I had the pleasure of signing Darren for Rosyth and all the qualities mentioned in his tributes on this site were evident during his time with us. So glad his family have been able to read the volume of tributes to his memory and I am sure they will be helpful in this time of mourning. He has left us with wonderful memories and he will always be remembered for his contributions to Fife Junior football. Many wonderful tributes and thoroughly deserved. Thoughts with the family and his friendsf
