strath were 3-0 up when i left with 10 to go

Cupar 4 scotia 1

well done cupar, solid start

Decent result, average perfomance. Hertz a bit rusty in first 45. Wee Grant scored the opener from a wicked shot from the dustbin half way doon the Scotia touchline. Every cant in the box missid it and it nestled in the bottom corner.

Balgonie equalised just before half time when Chibber scored a comic cut own goal. If it was at the other end he wid have been proud of the header. Ah'd have blamed the goalie!:rollsmile:

After half-time Hertz were shooting downhill and started to get into gear. Shabbaz rammed in the second after a slick piece of interplay down the right and a driven cross that ne met on the half volley.

Missed the next wan when I went for a pysh but apparently Stu Nicoll scored.

The 4th came in the last couple of minutes after a terrific piece of ping-pong in the Scotia penalty box. Apparently Shabazz is claiming it but it could have been any kant, even an own goal.

Decent start for Cupar, Scotia fought well (although wan boy got a straight red near the end for a shocker on O'Leary) and looked a much better outfit than last year.

Park held up well though. M o M probably Stu Nicoll but if he keeps putting in a shift like that every game he'll be fecked by October!!!

<_<

might be wrong but think the boy got sent off for refusing to give his name??? i was right next to them both and I heard the ref say he can get his name off the team llines. As I say might be wrong. Daft to get sent off for that if true.

Edited to say the tackle was a baddun aswell so probably a combination of that and the name thing!

Wonder if Clint Eastwood wis on the team sheet?

shippy 3 fair city 0
Aye, 3-0 at HT & FT.......a good game to watch, both teams tried to pass it about......City keeper had a howler for 2nd goal, wet ball, slippery surface & non stick gloves are a deadly combination  ........Shippy had a good 1st half, while City shaded the 2nd half without scoring [hitting the post was their best attempt].......a welcome 3 points to start the new season.

ylum 1 civil 1 ,hard fought game which imo ylum could have won...............

heard shippy 3 fair city 0

inver 3 bowhill 0

Thought it was a hard fought game for both teams. Thought we may have shaded it with possesion and had a few chances but just could not get the break to get a goal, Rosyth had a good chance near the end where they could have won it but for a good save from our keeper. Thought Rosyth should have had a player sent off when he kicked our keeper in the first half, but ref said no so time to move on. All in all a good competitive game from both teams.

Well that'll be that, Cupar won the league already..... Only jesting  Bit of a shock result, bowhill losing @ inver after having a fine season last year. Elsewhere looks pretty much par for the course!

not such a shock result when ye consider there was only 5 players in the squad last night remaining from last year, lost 9 boys from last season! a very new look bowhill thats going to take a while to gel, alot of hard guys to replace left! however inverkeithing also did well last night. Bowhill had the better start to the game but lost 2 players before half time 2 injury and to be fair never really recovered. lost a bit of shape and fight and inverkeithing punished basic mistakes made by bowhill! things can only get better tho

lost 9 boys from last season!
To "home improvement" teams" ?

the " home improvement " bit went over ma head sorry lol! we lost a few to benarty, few to kennoway, goalie lenny signed 4 the bluebell, nobsy retired n 1 of the young boys moved on! thats fitbaw tho, sure with the few additions geordy brought in bowhill would have pushed cupar close again this season, but its more of a rebuilding season now with all the new faces. ye never know tho eh, fitbaws a funny auld game :banghead:
