A Deal With The Devil

Good or Evil, That’s The Question……

Today at Hampden Park the chairmen of the SPL will finally decide whether to sell their soul for the price of a pound or do the decent thing and refuse to co-operate with a corrupt filled member who’s interest is only to operate in a world of deceit and deception.

The veiled threats from Govan about boycotts from the ‘head in the sand’ brigade should be treated with the same contempt as the officers of their club who’ve brought nothing but shame on Scottish Football.

Essentially, football is a sport and with that comes responsibility to compete within the rules of the game. that goes for everyone, Celtic included.

If you step outside the rules, expect to be punished, no matter who you are.

This notion that Scottish Football can’t do without Rangers is utter junk.

I ask you this, What country in the world, other than this one would allow cheating to go unpunished just because of a self serving media campaign?

Bottom line is this.

You cheat, you get punished. That’s the law of the land…..unless you happen to be chairman of Kilmarnock.

Note: It will be interesting to see what UEFA makes of all this posturing.

Lets cast our minds back to 2003 and ask why all other SPL teams lacked the sporting integrity that they hold so dear in 2012.

Motherwell had been in administration for 12 months and finished bottom of the SPL.

Falkirk won the 1st Division title , carried little debt but were denied entry to SPL because their ground did not meet SPL regulations.

Seems a bit harsh considering the club they should be replacing was Motherwell

So , we have 1 team that were in administration with a stadium that they could not afford to build , and within next 12 months a cva of 25pence in pound would be agreed and same Chairman taking control of club again.

Sporting integrity and financial fair play never seemed to be brought up by anyone back then, Motherwell never even got fined or a points deduction for their mis-management.

Seems to me that all these fans are not concerned with financial fair play or sporting integrity , their only agenda is to hurt Rangers as much as is possible....................................

Pete, wtf are you going On about !?!!?

Do you actually think about your copy and pastes before you post them ??

The issue with rangers is to do with re-entering the spl as a newco and transferring the membership !!

Nothing to do with simply being in administration, if rangers came out of administration with a CVA there wouldn't be a discussion and nothing to worry about as the 10 point penalty is all the would get !!!

See the Establishment bottled it again yesterday and postponed a decision again !!!!

My prediction is that rangers will start a newco snd apply for membership before the next meeting and then they will bring the new sanctions in only it will be too late for them to apply to rangers !!!!

Only in Scotland eh !!!

i think its more about the fans from other clubs that keep telling themselves that spl doesnt need rangers/scottish football doesnt need rangers, yet the chairmam at their clubs are telling them that without rangers it could all go down hill quite quickly. put aside all the hatred for rangers and think about it logically then the fans might see what the chairmen, spl, sfa, scotland, the goverment all see and that is without rangers the money could cost clubs a lot more than sporting integrity. money runs the clubs as simple as that.

Correct. But it's time for clubs to live within their means and not rely on other clubs bailing them out. Sporting integrity is what is at stake. If the SPL clubs allow Rangers to stay in the SPL they are making a complete mockery of Scottish Football. What if Rangers finished bottom of the SPL? What do we just not relegate them because it will not give the other SPL clubs the revenue the following season. It's a joke. The other SPL clubs need to grow a backbone and do the right thing. Wish the SFA would just step in and sort this whole fiasco out instead of the other clubs sh1ting it. They seem to be the only association that have the bottle to deal with Rangers

mgm........................aberdeen not finish bottom 1 season but didnt go down...................motherwell finished bottom but didnt go down .............sporting integrity indeed ....................

Was that not all to do with Falkirk not having a stadium to groundshare as Brockville was a sh1thole. Aberdeen never went down after a play off.

Pete it makes a mockery of the Scottish game that Scotlands top clubs can't be relegated because it will affect other clubs finances. Look at it this way though. Think about the other clubs who's financial situation will improve if Rangers do start from Division 3.

mgm.............. Here's Neil Doncaster's words

"Rangers have been punished within the rules for what they have done. They have gone into administration and they’ve received a sporting penalty of 10 points, which is what Gretna received too. It’s 10 points more than Motherwell, Livingston and Dundee got.

“Clubs have been able to write off debts over the history of football. It has gone on for many years and many clubs have written off an awful lot of debt.”

For clarity.

The rule that has been broken - an administration event.

The punishment - a 10 point penalty

And what you are trying to do now is create a new company and re-apply for the SPL. As far as I see it you should have to start from the third division if you want to create a new company. Simple as that.

Motherwell, Livingston and Dundee all agreed a CVA something Rangers have yet to acheive and won't happen before the start of next season which will mean the club won't be able to exit administration and will be docked points from the start of next season.

I know Celtic are part of it mate, and that in turn will bring its own repercussions !!!

Scottish football is fecked and it's going to go into meltdown whatever decision they do or don't make and that is a FACT !!!
