two touch
Sounds strange to ask for something you already have. valdas
jacktheripper
Tony we had only played them once so in effect loose out on 3 aswell give or take like you say we might have lost we will never know fact is rosyth gain 3 points on us now in effect as we beat them but rosyth got beat that's a gain in anyone's eyes benificial to them can I ask who it was that noticed this so late on in the season ie committee or club
nwohbk
I don't understand how if acorn beat Rosyth and Rosyth don't get 3 points for the next game how it is an advantage. Rosyth in effect lose 6 points by playing them once and the other teams lose 6 points by playing them once or twice. If everyone loses the points that were gained then it's all even regardless. If Rosyth had beat acorn they would have lost 3 points plus the 3 points from the 2nd tie .
jacktheripper
correct jock, now ive been told because our local rule wasn't asked for again we have to follow the safa one This rule has been here a while so like jock says why was it needed to be asked for again or why was it removed in first place should clubs not be informed or at least asked about this it effects both ends of the table in my eyes stupidity valdas

themole
lauders 5 4 styx  never played the best today against a decent styx team who will be unhappy not to get a draw today. great 3points but draw wuldv been fair result  went 2 0 up wi goals from gary halkett and jamie tierney penalty then styx pulled one back scored again through andy smith and then styx pulled another back half time 3 2  another penalty from tierney put us 4 2 styx pulled 2back then jaffa scored wi bout ten to goalwith a sublime finish  held out in end and thought davey chappel reffing the day had really good game.  refs get slated alot on here but think credit where its due  all best to styx rest of season great 3points today after losing 4 bad goals Calumn10
jacktheripper
So in effect then tony if say another team takes this as a harsh rule and dropped out the league for example crystal rosyth would in effect loose 6 points but we wouldn't loose any as they beat us there for brucefield would be benifactors as we would loose nothing putting us 3 points ahead of them valdas
valdas
its doesn't affect lochore as much as brucefield and crystal, all id like is for the league to at least ask the safa if our local rule cant be left as it is bearing in mind EVERY club knew how it worked

nwohbk
If another team dropped out everyone would lose another 6 points so makes no difference. If Rosyth had beaten acorn this argument would never happen. Rosyth lost the 3 points. They are top cause they have won 10 out of 12 games . They won't get 3 points for the next game v acorn so they are on top cause they deserve it. The only teams that would benefit is if teams were given points for the acorns remaining games. Calumn10
Quite a fair match report here, wouldn't say 4 bad goals to lose tbh, 1st for Styx keeper couldn't have stopped it, styx second boy took it past 3 players.... 3rd was luck involved, and 4th was a good passing move with a few 1-2's crossed in and finished from striker... Good luck for rest of the season lads themole
