davie brown
Why is that MGM? Not disagreeing with you but just asking? I'd like to see them back in the juniors, could be a great club with little extra help for the current committee. Results weren't great but it's work in progress for such a young side. Couple of experienced boys in to help the young boys and hopefully build on it and get change of results. In the words of their own Chairman they are a semi professional club but run very much like an amateur club. They can go to amateurs and re-build their setup and compete for honours in the amateur set up. Maybe further down the line they might have a strong enough squad to compete in the junior ranks again. I am not having a go at the Junior set up I think when they made all the changes there was always going to be winners and losers. Not only is the traveling a financial burden some of the players must find it hard with work commitments and families. That's why I think a Fife set up for the likes of Crossgates and others would have been more practical. Its also so hard to find folks to help out these days committee wise, competing more locally could help them.
victor meldrew
Definitely the smaller teams in Fife have been affected by the new setup. It's only really the Fife teams it's affecting so doubt it will change, given that Lothian and tayside clubs all seem for it. Getting the committee numbers up is also going to be hard, hopefully if someone takes over then they will have their own team of members to help them, this would be needed regardless if they were junior or ams though.
