scotty mac
A heard the 21s is merging with the 19s? Can't see how that would even be possible?

number4
the league is going to continue with the 4 teams, we also have the lady darling cup ,fife and lothians cup, fife cup and a joint 19s and 21s cup and also the league cup final , think we are going to play a game then free week then a game , its not ideal but as someone says next season we will have alot of 19s teams coming up. so if any teams have free weeks , i am sure the 21s will play you if they are off. its unfortunate how teams have folded but its a good standard and worth trying to keep it going. back post casual
Sundays at 2pm This is where you'd hope for joined up thinking with the associations and perhaps 21s teams can be cast against teams with free weeks in the 19s and Amateurs till a push can be made for new teams in the next season. At the very least, they can be put in touch with each other to see if a game could happen.

rec dj
What a shambles 6 teams was never enough to start a league in the first place. And playing on a Sunday with guy's of this age was never going to work when every other 21's league is a Saturday. The League committee that gave the go ahead are a disgrace I can't see any team seeing the season out now. Fife 21's were finished when Rosyth Recreation, Greig Park Rangers, Star Hearts, Burntisland Shipyard etc all left to join the East of Scotland League 10 years ago as then 10 teams were seen as a minimum number for a sustainable league There were 24 teams in East of Scotland then now only 9 teams this season. West of Scotland 10 years ago had 6 leagues with 14 teams in each 84 teams they now only have 48 and lose numbers every year. Under 19 teams won't compete with Junior teams or top amateur sides for players when trying to step up to 21's for next season. Feel sorry for the players who committed to the season what a waste. There is also a 12 team U20 league in the east region which wasn't there before where all the better sides play which has sides from a lot of different regions. You would have thought a few more would have joined the EOS U21 league. Edited November 18, 2015 by scotty mac
Brucie boy
Hats off to Lee, Rosyth and the rest of the 21s for keeping going. Very hard work running a youth team. Hopefully the league will get enough teams from the 19s to have a bigger league next season. Both Junior and Amateur teams need more youngsters coming through at all standards looking to continue playing. Good luck! number4 and Mariner
Cowden
Why can't the teams play each other 4 times ? Would make more sense surely than playing every second week , it's a decent standard so games would be competitive
davie brown
After taking teams at these age groups over the years I think that its better the boys get up to 19s then either go Junior or Amateur. It has its own set of difficulty's taking boys at these age groups, plus the carry on we had at the start of the season with 21s trying to play with Amateur's, proves there can be a conflict of interests and I think the same applies with the Juniors.
