  1. Very sad to see Kinghorn fold, was involved right from the start back in 2009 and manager for 2 seasons, one of the best sponsors you could ask for in Willie and the Crown Tavern. I had heard things weren't great but really sad it's come to this.

All the best to the Kinghorn Hearts boys who have been there from the start and i'm sure won't be short of offers of new clubs, as Dave says have had some cracking players over the years.

  2. Never good to see teams folding, hope all the guys get somewhere to play and stay involved in the Sunday Ams setup, hopefully they'll be back in the league soon.

Also, although not under the best of circumstances i'm glad to see Kinghorn Hearts move up a division, missed out by the odd point the last 2 years and think they will certainly be a good addition to the top division.

would still like to see the top division expanded but thats a matter for another day...

Best of luck to everyone for the coming season

  3. Kinghorn Hearts 3-1 Crown Inn

Was down watching this, very decent game to watch, few decisions could have went either way, well done to Kinghorn Hearts for reaching third round. Hope the lads get a good away tie next round!

Would just like to point out the workrate of the kinghorn skipper was top notch...

  4. dunfermline 0 langtoun 3

final for us on sunday against jokers, should be a good game :headbang:

Well done mate fully deserved the win as we were brutal last night all the best in the final.

As for us i think that is our last game in the fife sunday amateur league as alot of our playes are retiring or moving on plus funding is very tight.

Hopefully you can guys can carry on, seemed like a decent bunch of boys when we played you and never good to see teams dropping away, all the best whatever happens

  5. Lomond Vics 3 v Buckhaven Town 0

Massiive congratulations to Sandy, Scotty, Gary and all the boys at the Vics, great season with a league and cup double!

Game was never in doubt, don't think Vics keeper had a save to make and was a matter of time til they took the lead, 3 well taken goals from big Ferrier and vics by far the better side

All the best in the Premier lads, think you will do well in that league and enjoy your night!

  6. Think you'll find mate he was implying the trophey would already have had Your name written on it given that tonight!!!

nah he wasny mate heard what your keeper said clear as day was right next to him, said "disny matter about tonight league title already has our name on it" talking about you (kinghorn hearts)

a was next tae him tae an he said ur names on the cup awredy no kinghorn

get your ears cleaned out then pal because he definitely did say kinghorns name was already on title cos he said it to big tam tae and then two of them started having a go at each other tam was right up in his face and hes like weve already won it and that, so stop slavering pish and trying to defend them he knows what he meant when he said it and he seems to think kinghorn have won it already......we shall see :banghead:

think we should all draw a line under the "who said what" and the "my dads harder than your dad" pish, makes for very boring reading, still a lot of football to be played and the best team over 22 games will win the league - end of.

  7. sorry to hear about yourboys loss.alot of respect to the lad for playing tonight..had a great game aswell.done himself proud..seems to be too much mouth from both teams.bit embarresing to be honest..ref was terrible . but both teams missed chances.not very often will 1 goal win u a game

thanks mate :whistling: aye took a lot for him to play considering circumstances and he was outstanding, well done jock :whistling:

Would also like to pass my condolences on to the lad, took major strength to play after that and massive credit to him, minutes silence perfectly observed and puts football into perspective! On behalf of the whole club would like to pass on our best wishes to the family in this difficult time

  8. So who's back in as a result?

As no other team that they've played agaist in the competition has put a protest in, the Railway tavern will get a bye to the final

Castle must be seek getting put out a cup at the semi final stage due to this

Feel sorry for lochore here, seems like a genuine mistake

    What's the loophole wattie?

  9. Kinghorn Hearts 2-2 Jokers

Game shouldve been out of sight by HT as far as im concerned.in fairness to jokers they made us pay for a lot of missed chances.

Cheers for the turnout back at the pub.all the best for the rest of the season

your right Dave we should have been burried by HT we couldnt match yous on any part o the pitch, , 2nd half was a wee bit different yous didn't look to be interested and we got goin a wee bit, av seen both teams play better though am no sure about the rest o the boys but fae that perfomance am happy wi a point, cheers fir the game aw the best fir the rest o the season :worried:

same here mate, first half game should have been over but yous were prob the better side second half and a points a point at the end of the day, cheers for the turnout at the boozer, sponsor would have been chuffed! all the best for the rest of the season :whistling:

  10. Absolute joke!!!!

This will have a knock on effect on attendance at the match from members of the sunday association.teams would probably nip along to see a properly considered and well thought out select team.granted, maybe the person responsible had no time to do this and pick a team.but why wait until now??why not say at the turn of the year so someone who was capable of doing this could step in and arrange a select team.there are some crackng players out there who would warrant consideration for this.we put players forward before christmas, boys playing out there skin week in week out.bit unfair really id say!!agree with baz aswell, jokers cleared up last season surely their boys deserve some consideration.

Have to agree here as well, if the league were struggling to get things organised then why not put out a request for help? Not just the players but I'm sure some of the managers, coaches and committee members would have loved to get involved with helping to field a side, a railway and st clair select is the easy option and in my opinion the wrong one, will leave a sour taste going into next seasons game, appreciate the committee have a job to do but again would prefer to deal in house rather than put things out in open, hope the game raises a lot of money but over the season we have seen some quality players who haven't even had a sniff at this game.

It wasn't the committee picking the team it was Kevin Chapman. He bailed out last week I believe.

Surely there has been dialogue between the league and him up to this point tho shaun? If so there must have been some indication of his withdrawal, if not, and he has left them in the lurch then I withdraw my comments but struggle to believe that this came out of the blue, and again if this is the case, why not just say?

  12. Eddys 5-3 Cottars

Season finished as far as I'm concerned. Fcuking rotten

Nice fighting spirit you have mate, never say die !!! Pick yourself up dust yourself down and get back to winning ways !!

Fcuked off mate. Beat off 9 men. Somethings not right at the moment. Confidence? I don't know. We needed to win today and we have blown it. All the hard work we done in the first half of the season has gone to waste now.

still a long way to go mate, massive last 4 or 5 games for all at the top

  13. Dixons 2 v Kinghorn Hearts 3

Massive win for us, 2-0 down while we felt we were playing well enough and to come back and win is massive for us.

Always enjoy our games with Dixons, both teams like to play the right way and good set of guys!

Thanks a lot for the scran at the boozer and all the best for the rest of the season!

Another big game for us wed night, dunf sporting at home, games coming thick and fast now

  14. Dunfermline Thistle 3 v Kinghorn Hearts 3

    (Dunf win 4-2 on penalties)

Watching from the sidelines this was a great game to watch in my opinion, both teams went at it for 90 mins, thistle better side in 1st half with us probably just edging the second in terms of ball possession.

I was very impressed with Thistle, good side who play the game the right way and a good set of boys.

Always a sickener to lose on penalty kicks and dont think losing the game in this manner would have been fair for either team!

Cant fault our boys at all for workrate and attitude and at the end of the day there has to be a winner in knockout football!

All the very best to the Thistle, would love to see them reach the final and win so we can say we lost to the winners!

We still have the Fife 1/4 to play and very much in the shake up for the league so we must pick ourselves up quickly for the game against Dixons on Sunday!

Well done again to thistle players and management, all the best

  15. We've still to play Eddys H/A, Lochore H/A, Dixons H/A, Jokers H and Cottars A. Be a tough run in for us!

    We've still got Weavers H/A, Jokers H/A, Kinghorn H, Eddys A, Lochore H, Phoenix A.

    No easy games.

I think the league will go right to the wire and whoever makes it up will fully deserve it as there are some cracking sides in this league

hopefully we can make it, if we hit a consistent level we will be in with a shout

  16. Fife Cup

    Kinghorn Hearts 2 v Weavers 1

Played with 10 men for almost an hour and felt that we controlled the game barring a 10 min spell at the end from Weavers, think frustration on both sides at some of the decisions by the man in the middle but all in all a decent game to watch.

Probably should have scored more today but always nice to reach a quarter final and hope we can progress further in cup competitions than we did last year!

All the best to the weavers boys for the rest of the season

Scorers for Hearts - Iain Thomson x2

  17. In light of past and recent events, i have decided to resign as Manager of AFC Star.

The situation has become quite farcical in ways i can only describe as childish, having left the remembrance parade last week i went along to the game against Novar and saw a few things i can only describe as completely disrespectful to the majority of the existing players. :banghead:

I am only bringing this to light as i fear for the clubs future with the current lads and despite some of them being decent blokes, they dont deserve the treatment they received last week, there are a couple of good players there and a few good prospects as well but the difficulties in bringing in better players and getting them to turn up has been almost hopeless. <_<

I have had dealings with this club for many years and it saddens me that they are in this situation, i'm getting out now before i get things dumped on me again like the last time, once bitten and all that.

Anyone who knows me well will know i fight for every player in the team and will stick my neck on the block to back my players to the hilt, there are however too many small minded lads involved now that only want to complain constantly yet never offer or do anything to help improve the situation.

Whoever takes on the role as Manager i can only say you must be completely nuts or you have my upmost respect for taking it on and i wish you all the luck that the world can throw at you and if your wanting to put money on the lottery may i suggest a lucky dip.

Best of luck to the remaining players i hope you all manage to achieve something from the game in the future.

    TJ

    Now a free agent

no been funny tj but what exactlys been going on at star, everytime somethings posted about afc star its always doom and gloom about trouble within the club etc,its a sunday ams team no liverpool  theres been more contraversy at your club than there has been at liverpool

if players are causing upset then get them to feck!!!

No just the players mate.....i will leave you to figure that out for yourself . Your right it's not Liverpool but it sometimes feels like it and for a Sunday club it's like living in a constant epsiode of Corrie or something it's bloody mayhem and i have better things to do than listen to constant greeting by people who cant be @rsed to do anything about it but want everything on a plate for them, erm nope life aint like that.

sorry to hear TJ. I said it after we played you guys at Home this season, your sideline was laughable with their behavoir with boys clawing their pan in on the end of a hiding on the park.

All the best mate hope to see you involved somewhere else as you have always been a gent in the dealings Kinghorn Hearts have had with you.

Well said Dave, TJ is one of the good guys and all the best for the future!
