1. It's 24 hours since this news was intimated; surely Oakley United should have commented on their website by now.
2. Why does Mr. Mackie wield so much power? Does he pay all the bills?
3. Finish them off? After 45 minutes it was 1-0 for the Fed!!! But your over-the-top, totally biased summary is truly brilliant - almost as enjoyable as the match turned out to be.
4. Does anyone know where I can confirm the correct name of the Inverkeithing team which won the Scottish Junior Cup in 1912 - was called Inverkeithing Thistle or United? In "The Juniors" centenary book it is listed as Inverkeithing United but elsewhere on the internet it is referred to as Thistle.
5. Broughty Athletic v Musselburgh Scottish Cup tie is off according to the Broughty website.
6. Broughty Athletic's provisional request for a friendly, made last night through this forum, has been successful. Following this morning's news that Broughty's Scottish Junior Cup tie in Blantyre tie was definitely off, the Club is delighted to confirm that Dundonald Bluebell has responded and a friendly match between the two clubs goes ahead at Gussie Park today at 1pm. Thank you to Bluebell...and thank you to the Fife Football Forum. Bob McPherson Webmaster, Broughty Athletic Football Club
7. In the event that Broughty Athletic's Scottish Junior Cup tie at Blantyre fails a pitch inspection tomorrow morning at 9am, the Dundee club have provisionally booked Gussie Park (adjacent to Tannadice) for a friendly tomorrow and are looking for opponents; the kick off is 1pm

Please contact broughtyathletic@yahoo.co.uk and the message will be forwarded to Broughty Manager Kenny Cameron. Thanks Bob McPherson Webmaster, Broughty Athletic
8. If there is a game in doubt already it is a total joke, there has been a wee bit of rain at best nothing torentual! It may well have been "nothing torentual" but it's obviously been a bad spell.
9. I've read lots of speculation on this forum and P&B about local cups being scrapped for this season but, for the Redwood Leisure Cup at least, there hasn't been any official announcement to this effect.
10. Lack of business? astounding! It seems hard to believe that the clubs in the East believe there is no standard which couldn't be raised, no procedure that couldn't be improved etc. Forums such as this are full of ideas to improve the Junior game...these suggestions can't all be regarded as madcap! Some clubs look as if they will finish their season early if some cup competitions are abadoned...while others might have an extremely busy April and May if all the competitions get the go-ahead - is that not worth discussing? - and subsequently publicising the latest thoughts on this matter?
11. its irrelevant if there is a defender on the line, if its a goalscoring opportunity then the keeper has to go....simples!!!! The Broughty Athletic site - www.broughty athletic.com - has just added the following item: "After twenty-four hours reflection, Broughty Athletic have announced that the Club will definitely be appealing against goalkeeper Alan Cormack's sending off for the second penalty in Saturday’s cup tie with Glenrothes. Referee Lorraine Clark has deemed the incident "a clear goal scoring opportunity" and this view is strongly disputed by Club officials." The word out of Whitton Park is that the Fed feel Lorraine Clark not only got the sending off wrong but also two out of the three penalties - decisions which Broughty feel spoiled the game as a contest and ultimately cost the Fed the tie. To be fair. Broughty are not known as a bunch of bad losers and even the Glens website is talking about them getting a "break". Could be an interesting appeal!
12. In the North Division, as per the last two seasons, it already beginning to look like being a two-horse race - with Broughty Athletic yet again being one of the two. Although third-placed Kirrie remain undefeated, it's hard to see anyone else but Violet being the other title contenders. However, only one third of the league programme has been completed - and Broughty and Violet haven't met yet - so it's surely anyone's guess who will win the North Division title this season.
13. Thanks for that explanation; it's much appreciated. There are certainly quite a few well-run Junior clubs like Blair who don't have a badge on their websites and it seemed such an obvious omission.
