  1. Thought all 3 reds were correct , denying a goal scoring opportunity, two yellows and why say things to the ref which he might take offence too especially when you are already down to 10 men. on a more serious note something must be done to protect referees the scenes near the end from the Fauldhouse fans, coaching staff and players was disgraceful and we wonder why we can't get refs. Yes he made some strange decisions but he was the same for both teams but he definitely does not deserve to be threatened like the young lad was today.
  2. Ballingry got a tough season ahead unless they can get a quality striker in, there was a few people missing yesterday and the No9 worked hard but in the super league you must have a top striker.
  3. A fair bit of travelling for the fife boys, at least 2 trips to Forfar, trip to Brechin and Dundee. This decision will surely make signings for the new manager difficult.
  4. what happens if the North league has 2 go up and 2 teams that are relegated from the championship are from the south? You then have 12 teams in one league and 16 in the other. If the same situation happens again the next couple of season what they going to do then ????? Restructure the leagues!!!!!!
  5. Newburgh well worth their win, Jimmy. Just glad to see The San Siro playable when others were off. your right john the best team won, i was impresed the way they knocked it about agree with what both have said over the whole of the game, BUT and this would have altered the whole game, why was the Newburgh defender not sent off when the penalty was given. He denied a goalscoring opportunity, Thornton striker was clean through with just the keeper to beat and that is a sending off. The lad didnt even get a yellow card.
  6. not a massive expert at this sort of thing but drains or no drains with the weather we have had since early Nov i dont think any new bit of ground would have settled, these things take time to settle in good conditions so obviously Thorntons pitch will need more time. Correct me if i am wrong but when hob had new drainage fitted did they not have problems initially and their pitch is fine now.
  7. The work thornton have done to their pitch is fantastic compared to what it used to be like, BUT my question is this Why cant they fence it off and stop the idiots from riding their bikes on the pitch and stop them from using the pavillion as a drinking hole where they smash their bottles on the pitch when they have finnished. Can the council not do something about this otherwise all the money Thornton have spent on their ground will be wasted.
  8. Amazingly enough its Kelty, Hill of Beath and Glens who oppose the "all in draw" There must be more than those three who oppose the "all in draw" Current set up is fine. current set-up is rubbish, same teams qualifying every year. Take HOB group 1 super league team and 4 central league teams, yes one out of the four might get a good result against HOB but for HOB to loose that group would be unthinkable, therfore they make the semi-final every year where is the fairness in that. Lets see HOB play Kelty in the same group or first round. And before anyone says i am having a go at HOB its not there fault they just play who is put in front of them. The set-up is wrong.
  9. I've seemed to have jumped the gun here, Smarty is still in talks with the Haws so I retract my statement Another committee man itching to tell the world he kens whats going on at his club and feks up, what is going on at the Rovers John Fraser and now in all probability Smarty all jumping ship who were there best players last year along with Dempster who I believe is also awol. Club never been same since Jim Davis left..... add to the list andy lawson (quit), zinger (sold), kev smith (transfer listed), brian roberts (transfer listed) and a couple of fringe players from last season as well.
  10. As is goalkeeper Kevin Smith, contact on same number as above. whats going on at the rovers??? these 2 leaving and have heard lawson has quit, dempster and smart missing, wilson off to st andrews. whos next???
  11. I can also add that Ballingry have made the following signings ahead of the new season. Jay Stein - Cowdenbeath Jamie Gilfillan - Kdy YM Paul Davidson - St Andrews Craig McReadie - Lochgelly Albert Gordon Bryce - Jeanfield Swifts Gary Spence - Islavale Still hopeful of maybe adding one or two more. Has anyone left?, otherwise thats a big squad!!!! hard to keep everyone happy
  12. Whitley bay. Off????? unless ballingry are the free team on that date. what format ???? is there going to be a new format or is it the same groups as previous years???
