jimmythesaint
how many glaswegians will be in the tattie end, surely big advantage to ireland with 2 home games against scotland, since all yous on here say rangers fans support england who will be getting blamed for booing scotland rejects mcgreety and mcarthy. If it's to be played at the biggest stadium, then it should be played pure and simply at Murrayfield. It's an absolute insult to even consider a 2nd rate stadium over a UEFA rated elite stadium which is Ibrox. To claim there is also no connection to the choice of stadiums because of O'neil,Keane,Strachann,Celtc,ROI and confused Glaswegians who really think they are Irish... Is quite astounding. Its actually easy to work out what part of this Jimmy edited !!!! Berti
LARRY
ach well ser. we come 4th in the group and strachan is being applauded, how can you take 4 points of a team and still finish 3 behind them . what a balls up we made of that group. well done to northern ireland england and wales on getting to the euros, surely we have got to hold our hands up and admit we are rubbish, cant keep the ball, cant pass the ball, and our first touch is rotten.....we are in amongst the 4th and 5th seeds for a reason. mgm
Ultimately it came down to 1 result against Georgia and 2 freak results for the ROI over Germany that have prevented us from qualifying. Strachan has done extremely well with the pool of players he has. Wasn't an easy group and when you look at some of the other groups and who have qualified then clearly this was the hardest possible group for Scotland. At the moment there is no manager better than Strachan to take us forward. Teuchter and Berti
scotty mac
I think 4th place is awful to be honest, we'll never get a better chance of qualifying for any major tournament. Not sure who else is there to replace Strachan but there are certainly players not getting a game that should be. Lee Griffiths, Graeme Shinnie, the boy at Derby Russell, what the is the point of calling boys up and never playing them?
mgm
Experience Scotty. These boys are the future for Scotland. Strachan had a balance he was confident with and stuck to the squad with making minimal changes. He will go and experiment with the squad between no and the World Cup qualifiers to give these guys the chance. That's if he sticks around. mgm
Ask the 45000 fans who were at the game on Thursday if they were celebrating Pete. Dejected is more the type of word I would use. A combination of results has done us and ultimately it has come down to the fact we couldn't beat Georgia away and ROI taking 4 points from Germany.
