  8. fack the medals neebur, just learn kids how to play football ffs,you dont see the dutch with a drawer full of medals at the age of 16 ,but you see them later wae champions league medals, well said... WOODSIDE 97S ! are they not looking to win medals this year ? did Woodside 94s not try and win their first year playing for points and trophys ? non-competitive is great for the young players, but the kids get bored and at 13 years old they want to play for points and win medals ,this season they can play for medals. Duloch Juniors are a new club who want to win medals ,i dont see a problem with that lads. so if any 97s Players want to win their first medal come join Duloch ! winning is one thing mate, but doing so at the expense of the basic principles the guys need to learn is another! what was said earlier about the dutch is correct, im sure they dont play in a competetive environment until under 16, however dont quote me on that! young players need time to develop and find their position, again another product of the ajax setup where every kid is encouraged to play in every position. I'm all for encouraging kids to win and reach their potential but it has to be done in the right manner otherwise some of the late developers are allowed to slip through the net which has been a big issue in football in not just scotland but the UK as a whole! not a go at you bud, just giving my opinion
  9. Rosyth Wanderers v Kinghorn Hearts 7pm Pitreavie Wed 21st July
  10. wasnt kinghorn hearts, was the novar (formerly known as kinghorn crown) munrovers are half decent, dont think would finish any higher than midtable in 2nd div, just my opinion tho! decent set of lads tho that enjoy their football
  11. Rosyth Wanderers v Kinghorn Hearts Wed 21st July 7pm KO at Pitreavie Looking forward to it, Rosyth a good side
  12. what a terrible shout mate, surely ammie fitba is all about encouraging more teams to join to get more boys playing and for the league to grow, its always sad to see teams folding especially methil who have had 2 great seasons back to back but sometimes it cant be helped! all the best to the boys at methil and to the clubs who pick up the players, some good players there and other teams will reap the benefits! pity your teams wash berti or you might have landed some!!!
  13. DISAGREE. From what I saw cowden were by far the better team and only when they made 6 changes at the same time did KDY come into it even then I would not say you controlled the match. Also the fact that one of cowden's strikers had to play in goal didnt help when yous actually had a shot at goal!. Anyway its a friendly and thought KDY played some decent stuff too All the best. Think you need to take the maroon tinted glasses off mate. I would say 1st half Cowdenbeath were by far the better team. I cant mind the Cowden keeper having a save to make, your keeper had a few to make. Cowden were playing some great football and you boys could not get through the defence . Cowden were also the better team for the 1st 10-15 minutes in the second half where they had a couple of decent chances but could not convert. 6 changes made by Cowden seemed to unsettle the team a bit, but it is all about giving boys a game to have a look at them. You then took advantage of that by scoring some goals. Edited to add, all the best for the coming season. mate, wise up, we made 9 changes over the course of the game and only 3 of the starting 11 played the full game anyway, whats done is done, all the best

  16. Cowdenbeath Ams 2 v Kinghorn Hearts 5 Terrible weather but was a very competitive game between the sides. It took us a while to get going and went 1 behind to an absolute screamer which our keeper could do nothing about despite being the better side. Once we got going however and started to move the ball about we were in control of the game, scoring 5 in the 2nd half. I would like to say that Cowdenbeath will do very well in the 2nd div next year, some very good players, particularly number 8 in middle of park who looks quality on the ball! They are a hard working side and will be up there come the end of season imo Good start to pre season for us but we now face a hard game against rosyth wanderers next week which will be a good test for us! All the best to Cowdenbeath, good set of lads and good luck for the season! Scorers for Hearts - Rab Bowers (3), Craig Arthur, Graeme Campbell
  17. Think all 3 leagues will be very close come the business end of the season, from what I hear Kelty are the team to beat in the 2nd, prem looking very strong and having played them last year Jokers, Dixons are also very strong. Would also like to think that ourselves and Cottars will add some more quality to the 1st division! Sunday ams getting stronger every year!
  18. As the post says mate all welcome. teams only going to improve this year Is it okay to bring a few, three of us were from Fife Arms and one never played last season but pretty good. Just needing to work on some fitness. More than welcome mate, were looking to do a hard pre season so your fitness will only improve, any questions gimme me a bell
