  1. who was in goals ? ps well done Wolf, soon be up there with Mackin's total
  2. based on both teams current form it has got the makings of a good game, altho weather reports are for rain and lots of it
  3. Think I'd drunk myself sober Toaster There was a pub in St Andrews where the barmaid was selling us vodkas and redbull for £1.50 each, it took her about two hours to realise that she shoulda been charging us £2.20 for the redbull alone Guess it gave me wings after the last few months of fighting relegation, you guys are due a good turn, you deserved it
  4. #defo wullie, i always think its great after a hard game togo back to the other teams pub, its sporting and usually you get both sets of players mingling with each other and what happens on the park stays on the park. as for st monns, ive never had priviledge ofplaying against them, but they eally do seem to get alot of bad press from a cross section of people on this site, the worrying thing is they never do much to improve peoples perceptions of them The silence from the st. MOANans boys is deafning!. Rab that is bad I dont blame any of the st monans players that use this forum for not responding. the evidence speaks for itself and plus most of u hav got ur own opinions and nothin they will say are gona change that. played against a few teams this year that havnt come bak to the pub and i know my team hav been guilty of it aswell but cant say i lose to much sleep over it....each to there own if u like goin to diff pubs then go for it but if u dont i dont think u should get punished. P.s. keep up the fish jokes lads........i dont think it has been killed yet! right here go's ... would it help if the home team pub was based in kirkCODY

  6. Thornton 2 - Queensferry 1 another good 3 points for TAFC, won the hard way today good turnout back at pub, all the best Queensferry
  7. Are you trying to tell us you've only got wan gid baw son??? if so, thats one guid baw mare than you
  8. I have seen the Uni team 4 or 5 times this season and it's always been the same 12 or 13 players including the left back that is a dead ringer for George Michael during his Wham days and the guy that looks like Screech from Saved by the Bell just when you thought they were turing 'a different corner'
  9. well done thornton, i had u guys dead and buried a month ago but u have been on a good run and look like u might just stay up Aye, well done boys on another fine result. I, like Rhino, thought yous were facing the impossible but yous are turning it around slowly but surely. I don't like to wish against the other teams down there with Thornton but I do hope you guys beat the drop Thanks a lot guys, a lot of credit goes to our players that have bothered to turn up the last couple of games, they guys you need in the trenches have rolled their sleeves up Still a lot of work to do yet, it's easy to say "if we beat Dysart on Tuesday then beat Queensferry on Saturday etc" but to come away with 6 points against Newburgh and St Monans has been great At the start of February we had 2 points from 9 games and in everyone else's eyes we were down but almost every game was by the odd goal and this is the best group of players we have had and we have lost one game in our last eight or something should be a gid final aye, the final last season between TAFC and Kennoway at St Andrews was a good one, so heres hoping this one to be the same - except for the outcome
  10. Thornton Ams 1 - St Monans Swallows 0 as always a hard fought game against a good St Monans side, but TAFC deserved the 3 points today and should have buried the game with a few missed chances second half
  11. cause week in week out he has no saves to make (or so we keep reading on the forum) - the best keeper will be judged on stops made, not on clean sheets
  12. aye most keepers are a good standard - speaks volumes for the league big Wolf in the TAFC sticks is worth a mention on this topic, shot stopping and kicking from both passback and deadball up there with the best around
  13. Coven leader calling Raven, confirm talk to me Johnnie
  14. what like mate St. monans went 4-1 up, then totally took the foot of the gas, uni got it back to 4-3, then with about 20 mins to go St monans score to make it 5-3, straight from the kick off uni score to make it 5-4!, 3 mins to go st. monans finish the scoring to win 6-4, thats the worst I have seen st. monans play, was really shocked with the way they played tonight, but it's a mid-week game and we know what they are like. Skeney what the heck you doin along there on a Tuesday night mate? U bored or no wantin to watch the Champs league games (or even trainin for that matter) good question altho me thinks I have asked this before, and did get an answer fae ye Rab
  15. simply put - an embarassment
  16. TAFC 4-1 winners at St Andrews Uni, superb pitch as used for cricket and rolled to perfection, good to see Stoity get on the score sheet, well done Stevie G for the warm up, Stoity's goal touch was symbolic of that guys enjoyed the pasta dish at the pub, good luck to the Uni
  17. Rosyth Civil Service 4 - 1 Thornton Ams 1-1 thru 65mins, TAFC missed chances at 2-1 down to level but to no avail, never a 4-1 game but thats the result non the less all the best to RCS next round
  18. Were meant to have a game Wednesday tho and got called off at 8.45am cos of frost, but come 2pm kick off it was thawed and playable. Just have to wait and see wot the groundsman says. Scotland are meant to be training on our pitches Sunday-Tuesday so any frost and they'll probably call it off. Will ring your guy in the morning to let him know well before you set off tho. cheers lawd
  19. whats the state of the St Andrews Uni pitch ? long way to go for a call off
  20. I've a better idea, why not pi$$ off back to your park in Kirkcaldy and ruin that as long as it isnt pitch 1 at Randolph The pitch is f*cked now, thats why we changed the game on saturday to give it a few weeks to recover, then a sunday team fae Kirkcaldy! wants to play there. Ain pitch! totally agree lawds , we have a single pitch available in the village, how many in Kirkcaldy ?
  21. great to be back winning as been mentioned in other topics, losing by the odd goal week in/out, due to turn sometime and today it did
  22. yip, problem also due to TAFC were'on fire' today and the pitch is covered in petrol
  23. Old Thor played the first 5 minutes of the season against Dysart then came off injured. We haven't seen him again all season until last week when he helped out against Rosyth and grateful TAFC were that he did, cheers Old Thor we can revisit this issue at the end of the season once places have been finalised, until then let the talking be done on the pitch
