maestro
I have played in both set ups, and yes the super league was great to start with, but I think now it has maybe run its course, if I'm right I think there have been only four winners of the super league since it began, and not one Fife team has won it. And if you look at the teams who have won it, it has been teams that have had money to spend on players. Maybe the only exception to this would be Bonnyrigg, but they managed to attract one of HOB' s best players to them at the start of the season because they offered him more money. I agree with the league cup thing, but it would be better if it was a knock out competition. As for meaningless games, there are going to be quite a few with the new set up!!! Stan
Basically if these clubs had ambition then the way up for them is the Premier which certainly involves travelling. Therefore if they can't travel in the lower leagues albeit at a fair bit of cost then maybe the Juniors isn't for them? Next seasons Premier has a fair amount of teams from the Fife/Tayside area. non-sequitur

Nail on head. Anyway, it's happening and I'm looking forward to seeing how it pans out, think it will stir interest particularly at the start of the season without the shitey League Cup. Saw Doctor
Perhaps it's due to my geographical location, but I'm sitting with my fingers crossed hoping Lochore are sent North next season.
joe 90
sorry boys but am afraid if you want to support your team you will travel whatever league they play in, l would prefer north aswell tam because when you stopped going to games thats when it went down hill
bobthecoalman
Do you see holland, Germany, France, England with junior fitbaw? No teams have no money because the concept of junior football is wrong! If Scotland fa was started tomorrow there're would be no chance of junior football , there would be one association with different criteria to progress through a pyramid system. You can keep coming up with new solution to cover the problem for a few years(super league) but there is a root cause problem! bogeys
Would it not have made sense for the clubs to ask the player opinions before voting, or indicate their intentions before signing them on 2 or 3 year contracts potentially freezing them out of the game. A lot of clubs don't hire buses or pay expenses so it'll be the players that will be out of pocket and not the clubs, can see a few players trying to go amateur Edited May 30, 2013 by bogeys
