Good to see maths work Levein put in at UTD paying off too !! Levein played a big part at Utd, but Gauldie's from the Ian Cathro school Jimmy, and I'm convinced he'll be an absolute star over there. Fair play mate, Lisbon are certainly making some big noises about developing him etc so hes got every chance by the sounds of it.
tc83
All good for Scotland ! Wouldnt read too much into the Cathro / Levein input. You have to remember theyve been gone from United for four years now. They may have put in the early work but its all down to the kid and the recent support he's had. I think its a great move from the point of his development. He started the year really well although was a target for the hammer throwers in the latter part of the season. Im sure he'll do well. Steady stream of young players at the club doing well because theyre being given a chance to play rather than buying big names or old heroes. When we are attracting developing talent from the bigger clubs due to our willingness to let them play and develop further, you know something is being done well. Cathro played a huge part with Gauld and Souttar, they were working with him before Any of them were near Tannadice, but you're right there are several others, Stevie Campbell in particular, who have played a big part with him aswell. The next batch of youngsters are even better as a group than the current batch, that's the really good news. tc83
