Totally agree ceejay. Although last week was questioned, understandable today any game being off. Teams with their own park have a lot of unpaid hours going into keeping them at that standard. Half the reason those parks are in a good nick come the end of the season. Also half the reason council call offs parks so early if the park next to it has been left a mess.

Madness Pete. Lower league sat sides won’t play the league above but Sunday teams will happily play against them. Yer right mate it’s fecked.

That’s not to say there’s not decent defenders in teams throughout the leagues before anyone takes that the wrong way, it’s just your more likely to find yourself challenged week in week out the higher you go.

Defo shouldn’t be picking, same time a don’t know what’s in the handbook to be honest to say if they don’t have a choice or not. The thing that bugs me mate is when 4/5 teams fold and then 4/5 teams join. a couple of those teams are filled with players from a team that folded. Some people love scoring hatricks against lower division teams and looking great rather than drawing a blank playing against some top defenders in the prem.

Happened in the Sunday’s a few years back teams saying they didn’t want to go up in 4th say as they wanted to merit it by finishing in top 2 spots. However if 4/5 new teams come in the only way to balance the leagues is by pushing teams up. Can see the argument on both sides, of course you’d think teams want to be in the top league Pete putting themselves against the best in the area. However a can understand Jon if he’s saying they nearly folded the last time in wanting to ensure his team continues to exist. The Sunday standard has got so much better since leaving welfare and being able to play sat players but there’s still some cracking young players who play with teams that get promoted then leave them and play with another team in the bottom league. I do totally agree tho you want to play against the best teams in your area week in week out but if the team take a bad defeat and the players stop turning up you can’t force them to be there. Far cry from when yourself played bud, the commitment just isn’t there anymore.

Anyone needing a trialist tomorrow, I’d be happy to help out. No spring chicken and I’ve had a heavy festive season but able to make an extra body if your squad is threadbare.

What’s this weeks fixtures?

Heard eastvale 4-0 valleyfield. Gonna be close between these 2 with eastvale losing last week and still having to travel to valleyfield. Massive result for them this week though and a long way to go. Don’t know how the game went just seen the result on social media.

The thing is when you get a lot of home games at the end of the season, they become midweeks and a lot of teams don’t go back midweek so the sponsors still suffer.

Bayside defo folded Pete. Russell joined bud at Rosyth juniors management team. Heard few players away there and a couple possibly going to swifts eos team. Only seen kingdom were looking for a new manager on here so unsure what’s happening with them.

I applaud everything am soccer have grown to. Also fife thistle having 2 sides. The only thing I disagree with is when a players is suspended. I’ve heard if some have a match ban he can serve it in the morning for the b team at fife thistle and play in the afternoon for the first team. How much ov this is true I’m unsure as I’ve not played much Saturday football this season.

Think so bud similar to the old uni sides.

Best thing for away teams if desperate for a game to do is agree to pay half the astro. Can’t expect home teams to pay the whole bill unless they are the ones desperate to get the game played. Agree though Aaron lad everyone will be choking for a game.

To be fair Pete as you know yourself a lot ov cup games make it hard for that to happen. Although I do agree had it been 2/3 teams u still had to play but any one of 7 does make it silly. Even more so when it’s a local team you could play midweek at the end ov the season. Hope a don’t get a point against my name for voicing that opinion.
