Darren Fletcher for Man Utd is 1 of the best holding midfielders in the country. He is not a creative midfielder like Burleys asking him to. He's not going to pick the ball up and beat 4 or 5 players before putting the ball in the top corner of the goal. He's a very clever player who breaks up play and always plays the easy pass available to him. Surely if I can recognise this then Burley should be all to aware of this but insists on playing Gaham Alexander their. Spot on!!! can anycant tell me who ferguson and mcgregor shot,its a facking joke 2 players banned for havin a drink and carry on(when others were invovled),get shot of burley and bring in new manager and get ferguson and mcgregor and boyd back into the the squad ,with mcfadden starting every game as he is the only cant that can do something out of nothing, question,can anycant tell me how many caps fletcher has for scotland and how many decent games hes had,answers on a postage stamp eh? You cant expect to win International matches with a team of players most of who cant get a regular game in the English Championship. Commons, Alexander, Caldwell, Iwelumo .... We keep complaining about the standard here but do feck all to improve it. Get the kids in now and give them the experience they need to qualify for the next World Cup. I see the likes of the above playing for Scotland and I see as good a calibre of U21 players in the SPL at the moment compared with some of the dead wood we are bringing in from down South.. If we arent going to qualify, then lets not qualify whilst trying to push the game forward and increase the available player pool. Lets not roll out another string of over the hill Anglos and "over-inflated" average journeymen. The reason the Scotland team is full of them is that is all Burley knows. He had ten minutes here with Hearts and probably still couldnt find half of the stadiums up here with a Sat Nav. When was the last time you saw him at an SPL ground outside of Glasgow. Seriously the buck stops with the manager regardless of what squad you have and Mr Burley is fastly becoming the new berti! Time does not work in these circumstances and the SFA must act now if there is any hope left! But we all know they wont and Burley will continue to move Scotland further behind where Smith and McCleish took them to!! He wont walk so you have to push him folks!
