Weshallnotbemoved
5 was the magic number this weekend with Dundonald, Thornton and Glenrothes all prevailing by the odd goal in a 3-2 win. Elsewhere there were resounding 5-1 home wins for the Haws and Hals' reserve team against Bo'ness and Whitburn respectively, while the Cooper curse continues at Lochgelly (how ironic that their last two matches were off due to waterlogged pitches since the MOTHs arrival) as the Berts were hammered by the same scoreline by bottom of the table side Easthouse Lily. Weshallnotbemoved
Thornton win the Fife derby, Bluebell progress to the next round of the cup, the fallout at Oakley escalates from social media onto the park as they self destruct since the return of Newbigging and the Cooper curse continues at Gardiners park as Ness is sacked from Lochgelly. If carlsberg did weekends.
Weshallnotbemoved
A 4-0 success for the Bluebell at Carnoustie and Fife’s top side leapfrog Bonnyrigg, Lochee and Penicuik into second place in the super league while in the Premier a win for Hals’s reserve team over Tayport sees their quest for a quick return gather pace. Weshallnotbemoved
The weather wiped out this weekends programme so not much to report but I’m hearing Lochgelly are furious that the referee put off there match late in the day. Both sides claim it was playable and Lochgelly are set to file a complaint with one source claiming the referee “never even put a boot on” I blame the Cooper Curse, referee probably turned up, spoke to Hosey Dallas, learned the home side were a few players short, forgot where he was and through force of habit declared the pitch waterlogged. Weshallnotbemoved
Lochgelly beaten 2-1 by lowly Harthill. They are crying out for the type of striker that has dreamt of playing and captaining the club since he was a boy.
Oak Lee
Got to feel sorry for Jock Kinnell. Him and his committee work real hard and don’t deserve this. Hopefully they see the light before it’s too late.
