Leven v kettle re-arranged league game is now off. We have been told we cannot arrange a league game when we have a fife cup game. Kettle would have to give up the home rights and play the fife cup tie at leven. Red tape strikes again !!!!!!!!!!

Went up and checked the pitch at Strathmiglo at 10.am this morning and the pitch is definitely playable. Another wasted Saturday and another probable midweek fixture.

The final was arranged for the 22nd sept,but bowhill applied for a free day on the 21st so that was that,the scottish and fife start end of sept and october so i hope that answers your question. This was explained at the league meeting last Monday however there was no representative from Civil at that meeting.

Sorry to hear about the injury and wishing him a speedy recovery. Question though ? Will the player be covered by the insurance being as it was a friendly and were there any team lines for this game ? Call me cynical but If there is a way out of it then the insurance company will find it.

Yes, I have some although it will probably fall on deaf ears. Too many games to match the number of Saturdays available to play (take into account lost fixtures to weather) therefore teams have to play tues, thurs, sat.Unacceptable in my opinion to expect amateur players to play 3 games a week (as well as holding down a job, working shifts etc.)Long gone are the days when you could tell your boss to take a hike cos you were playing footy that night !!!!!!!!Solutions could be, a different league format and cup structures because let's be honest, big score lines and teams either failing to field a full complement of players or even fulfill fixtures is not good for the league.Your only quoting what was discussed at the last meeting,and it will be sorted out at the agm,that was also stated. It's one thing quoting what gets discussed at the meeting, however it could be totally different depending on how many times we have to vote until we get the result that certain parties want.
