Weshallnotbemoved
The South League is a lot more difficult than the North to get out of for Fife clubs but Craig Ness has improved the team year on year since his appointment after being sacked by text message from Glenrothes. Next season will see success for him and his new coaching staff.
Weshallnotbemoved
Having touted the Berts for success this season only last month, Nessie has made me look an absolute fool. Allowing Mr Illustrious anywhere near Gardiners park no matter what the capacity is a recipe for disaster as all his traits will eventually rub off. Downsizing has already begun with the acquisition of Chris Ireland and the subsequent sale of Lewis Elder to the Haws. Prediction : A comprehensive defeat at the hands of Kingdom Athletic would have been unthinkable only a few weeks ago but came as no surprise to me. Nowhere near the top 4 this season I'm afraid. Weshallnotbemoved
The Berts travel to Oakley for this Fife Derby without Chrissy Ireland who is out for a spell with a broken collarbone. Great opportunity for the big summer signing from Glenrothes to make his mark.

Weshallnotbemoved
The Berts have parted company with First Team Manager, Craig Ness. A spokesman for the club said “Craig has been a great servant to the Albert since taking over as Manager in challenging circumstances. His dedication to the Club and to his work has been absolute and the contribution he made is considerable. However, our early promise under Craig’s management has not been consistently evident in recent months and the Board feels that, regrettably, a change is necessary to keep the Club moving forward – consistent with the long-term expectations of our supporters”. “Craig is and will remain a very popular, respected figure at Lochgelly and will be welcome back at Gardiners Park in future, both professionally and as a friend of the Club. "The Club will now begin the process of identifying and appointing its next First Team Manager and will make no further comment on the process until the appropriate time." Well at least he never got sacked by text this time. Berti
Weshallnotbemoved
Only a fortnight ago Mr Illustrious picked the DSD man of the match against the mighty YM, today he could be picking the team

Weshallnotbemoved
Lochgelly 8 Craigness 0 What a difference a week makes .”Players playing in the right positions, playing for each other and absolutely no bitching amongst the players. Fantastic to watch and could have been an even bigger winning margin” wrote one fan. “What a display the day. Must keep Stevie Broon as manager” wrote another. Hate to say I told you so but the writing was on the wall for Nessie and Pikey the minute the Lying King and Rafiki entered Gardiners Park
Weshallnotbemoved
Steve Kowbel has been appointed as new manager of Lochgelly. Stevie who left the Berts 15 years ago to join EOS side Kelso and more recently was assistant to Phil McGuire at Brechin Vics brings a wealth of experience. In order to be a success his first task has to be to get shot of that asshole Cooper. Berti
Weshallnotbemoved
With the search for a new manager over the Berts priority now is to find a mobile phone that went missing last week. There have been unconfirmed reports of a baldy headed man in a black shirt carrying a flag hanging around the dressing room but Chief Commissioner Cameron Miekelson said “early investigations suggest there is nothing linking this incident to the committee member going through the players pockets at another ground” but has warned all other Fife clubs to remain vigilant and if they have any suspicions to get in touch with the Scot Squad immediately. Weshallnotbemoved
Liam Forbes has become the latest casualty of the Cooper Curse. Following the departure of Martin Rennie only last week Liam becomes the 5th forward to part company with the Berts this season.
Oak Lee
Lochgelly 0 Oakley 3 Oakley end the season with a comfortable win against the Berts. With 47 goals for and 12 against since Foxy’s introduction, a 2-0 loss our only defeat against runaway leaders Pumpherston it’s been a great end to the season and I for one am already looking forward to the next, whatever league we’re playing in.
